D: I freak out if I get a single bit of hair on my laptop.
I've cleaned off the sweat gunk and dandruff, it looks newer now. Still runs like a stallion. I use it for Photoshop-heavy sessions, shame about the 4GB RAM.
At least there isn't cum stains on it...
Go to sleep already, and stop whining on steam that you're tired.
I haven't said that i am tired today, only that i have to go to sleep because school tomorrow.
Gaaaaaaahh
We had an all-day, offsite meeting to discuss the reporting issues. 8:30 to 5:00, taking breakfast and lunch in the meeting room. Just five people practically locked in a room to talk and talk and talk. And you know what?
I FORGOT MY LAPTOP CHARGER.

I'd hate to be working in a computer repair shop because of the fear of getting hardware that looks like that.

calling dibs on a thread is silly, first come=first served.

No one has $15k to blow on a lens.

Never underestimate the price of glass.
if you're a webdev/have a website and your "next picture in top ten pictures article" button reloads the entire page you deserve to die
If I had the money I'd buy one of these, just because.

Just wait until you see my collection.
Also why are you keeping both of your old 1000D and 400D?
Better yet, why do you have two 50mm f1.8?

Those are genuinely the coolest lens I've ever seen. It has a replaceable INTERNAL filter, little LCD screen for telling you how far zoomed in everything is, electronic zoom, awesomely fast AF motor and, you know, it's just awesome as fuck. On another note, I love the "customer images" on that.

I love my 400D and 1000D. And it's always good to have spare bodies. The 1000D and 400D both have different strengths as well. Also, 2 50mm's is what I could find to stick on them. I should have probably put a 300mm or something on my 400D.
How can the camera take the weight of that thing?
It isn't attached to the camera, the camera is attached to IT.

Well yeah, that's how it goes for all large lenses :v:
Glass will pretty much always out-value your body.

Buy a bag of sand and make your own
Great for taking a photo of your bath! Note that you will need to hold the lens over your shoulder like a bazooka.
This is a great lens. Have had it for 2 weeks now. Mostly use it in macro mode in my search for the Higgs boson. But when not using for subatomic particle work, I use for weddings. One client was getting married a few hundred miles away. Of course I didn't need to fly in for the wedding...thank you Sigma.

Buy a bag of sand and make your own
Would be a hell of an experience.
I wonder how much of the cost is R&D and how much it actually costs to make that big-ass lens. Very high-precision machining required, a lot of large and complex lenses inside...
I wouldn't be suprised if only every 2nd-3rd lens made passed QA.

Hell, at that point, you should just get a reflecting telescope and hook your camera up to it.

When you do, please post pics. I'm always in the mood for pics of space.
Pity there's so much light pollution over here that you can't see anything dimmer than Arcturus.
