• Having trouble setting up wireless on my 360

I have a wireless modem plugged into my PC which creates the wireless internet in my house. This works perfectly on my PS3 because that has built in wifi. I'm having trouble setting up a connection for my 360 though. I have a wireless router which I've plugged into my 360, but I have no clue how to connect it to my internet connection in my house. When I go to the network settings it just has a bunch of technical terms that I don't understand and I see no option to just find a wireless network like there was for my PS3. Can someone give me help on how to do this? Thanks in advance.
[QUOTE=Guniv;19435853]360 dosent have wifi for some stupid reason[/QUOTE] I know it's dumb, that's why I have to use a router. I just don't know how to set it up. [editline]02:01AM[/editline] No help? It would be greatly appreciated.
Plug in a wireless adapter to your Xbox360's usb port(or ethernet), go into wireless settings on the 360 dashboard, look up your network on the list of networks that appear, enter your router pw. It's just like setting up a normal wireless connection.
you need a wireless adapter [editline]02:40PM[/editline] ninja'd
Most normal routers can't do what you're trying to do. That have to be able to act as a bridge and connect to another wireless network. The only time I've been able to do that with a normal router is when I put a custom firmware onto it (DD-WRT), and then followed a nice long guide on how to set it up. If you don't even understand the basic terms in the router firmware, then there is pretty much no chance in hell that you'll be able to configure it to act as a bridge. Go out and buy either a wireless bridge, or spend the money on the 360 wireless adapter. Oh, and in regards to the PS3 having wireless and the 360 not, I'd almost prefer that the PS3 not have wireless, considering how shit the integrated one is. I tried to use it to stream stuff via PlayOn, and it ran like crap, whereas my 360, connected via a router in bridge mode, had zero issues.

Depending on the type of wireless router you have plugged in, it might act as a bridged. (Most Linksys routers can)
