I'm using a Linksys WRT54G2 with DD-WRT. Works pretty well!
I have some old Belkin Wireless G router that I've had since forever. [editline]09:53PM[/editline] But my house is only 1100 square feet so only at the very back of the house is it hard to connect to it.
I've had nothing but bad experiences with Linksys's WRT routers. I personally prefer D-Link and Netgear, and I'm currently using a D-Link DIR628.
I had epic problems with Linksys , I went with Netgear. It was K
netgear router and a linksys adapter
Pretty much anything by D-Link or Netgear, I use both everywhere and I've never had any problems with them.
I was pretty sure it was but the guy said get linksys or if you can afford it cisco.
Because they sell different products. Cisco is targetted at enterprises, they have better hardware than Linksys lines, but it's way more expensive.
Netgear all the way.
Belkin G+MIMO Router (Belkin's great with routers, but they're shit at adapters) Netgear WPN111 Wireless-G (It's a great little thing, has a tendency to overheat but gets the job done, even with heavy gaming) EDIT: Should mention I no longer have a need for the WPN111, I have a 25ft ethernet cable to my room. I only use the router for my Xbox and my cousin when she comes with her laptop. I lack a laptop, so the WPN111 is in the box in my closet

My bluetooth Sony headphones.
I have a Netgear router and wireless access point, neither has offered any trouble to me and they seem reliable.
Netgear WPN111 Wireless-G (It's a great little thing, has a tendency to overheat but gets the job done, even with heavy gaming)
I thought mine was the only one that did that... But yeah, Netgear for me.
Ipod?
Ahh that explains a lot I get all the old stuff from my dads work. Got a 20 port Cisco switch it is legit quality.
Yeah, and you can do some pretty cool shit if you know how to configure them.
My Linksys wrt54g with Tomato has been working well so far. Pretty kickass.
A Fritz box lol
Netgear WPN111 Wireless-G (It's a great little thing, has a tendency to overheat but gets the job done, even with heavy gaming)
Had one. Ended up ditching the plastic case, to keep it cool.
Yeah, and you can do some pretty cool shit if you know how to configure them.
CLI can be a bitch, if you make the smallest mistake.
I'm a netgear fan for all networking stuff, never had big problems. And i love my wireless tv transmitters to send digital tv to other rooms. Such as http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philex-27998R-5-8GHZ-Wireless-Sender/dp/B001YDOEQS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1260645800&sr=8-6 A little expensive but powerful stuff.
CLI can be a bitch, if you make the smallest mistake.
I don't know, Cisco IOS is pretty well built. I'm not sure if you've used it, but I found it harder to find the actual cause of an error, than to make an error I didn't notice. Then again I've been spending the past 2-3 years configuring Cisco switches and routers, so I may be a bit biased.
linksys :D
fuckin' Netgear foo!

But again, it's the same thing with linux.
WRT54Gs with DD-WRT Custom Firmware. Yeah, badass.
I use a Linksys WRT54GL flashed with DD-WRT. It's not too hard to flash custom firmware, but if you don't know what you're doing or you're impatient you can brick your router pretty easily. Netgear is supposed to produce good network hardware, I'd look into them.
Netgear I think it is screwing up my games though
Tp - Link
I use http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/products/WRT610N It's got a very nice range, and holy shit I love it.
More like Linksys used to be an individual company and Cisco bought them out. Linksys USED to have good products before Cisco made them their bastard red headed step child, and then their products went down the shitter. Their wired routers (BEFSRx1) and wireless USB adapters (WUSB54G) are complete rubbish. Most of their wired routers have a bug on the WAN port that limits it to 10BaseT. When you connect one of the modern 100BaseT cable modems to the WAN port, it can't negotiate the speed and will constantly drop the connection. I know this because I have 6 of the shit routers piled in the corner of various revisions that all have the same problem, and it's widely documented. Another problem with Linksys routers is a bug in the firmware that corrupts game data packets in Half-Life 1 (and possibly other games), resulting in the infamous "getting steamed" phenomenon. If you look in the console after such an event, you will see a list of networked variables, with the last one being SVC_BAD due to corrupt packets. I also have 5 or 6 of the WUSB54G wireless adapters. They have the same connection dropping problems as the routers, plus terrible signal strength and no drivers for anything beyond Windows XP (even though they state Vista/7 is supported.) TL;DR, Linksys got pimped by Cisco and turned to shit. Go with netgear, Dlink or in my case, build your own router. As for wireless, I bought a Rosewill (Realtek chipset) wireless adapter and don't know why I didn't sooner.
That's a load of crap Every single consumer make of networking products have produced product lines and products riddled with problems at some time or another, being a very quickly evolving technology it's very difficult to get a constant stream of perfect products. Their wireless and wired routers have had problems, but were generally considered, and still are, much more reliable than companies such as NETGEAR.
