Speaking of laptops I gave my brother this ASUS VivoBook S200 11,6" HD touch
It's so much fun to use and I'm debating between a tablet or a touched lappy.
I'm probably going to end up getting a Surface Pro sometime after I get my laptop, since it's much smaller and I could use that for portability. I was considering getting an ultrabook but it just doesn't seem as right with tablets and such.

I'd wait for Haswell, and if they update the XPS 12, I'd probably get that instead - the Surface's cover is cool, but it really can't match a real keyboard.
XPS12 was actually one I was looking at, but the battery life is poor and it's quite too heavy for simple tablet usage for me. The reason I decided to go for that Samsung above was simply for the quality specs for the same price. Plus I needed something larger.

It has better battery life than the Surface Pro, though.

I'm also debating. The VivoTab I owned rarely left the keyboard dock. I'm thinking tablet with dock if only because its that much more versatile, but by the time I need a new laptop there could be better stuff.

I'm strongly considering this, it's what I want really.

I know a guy who owns one of those. It's elegantly executed, powerful enough and I think it even comes with a stylus.
W8 tablet done right.

Oh wow, nice! Which one are you considering?
I'm not considering any of them since my laptop still fits my needs. But if I would get a single one, it would be a toss up between the Yoga 13 and Duo 11.

Still think the Surface is better. At least you can take the keyboard off.

Isn't that limited to Windows RT?
There's the Pro which is a little too bulky for a tablet and a little too small for a laptop if you ask me. Though the Duo 11 isn't much better in that regard.

And I still think the pen solution on the Surface Pro is laughable.

Can i be friends with you guys now
Nah, Windows 7 in this thread only
Yeah, no Windows 8 users here. Win8 is for faggots and people with ugly hair.
But congratulations on your purchase, what model is it?

Also, Blue's shaping up to be a pretty nice update: http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/30/microsoft-windows-8-1-unveiled/
well every major step on an OS like windows will have teething problems but every tooth seems to be coming into place

I like the addition of start screen wallpapers. Was a bit annoying that you couldn't customize that because of arbitrary restrictions.
yeah that was definitely an oversight

Vivotab Smart, Id have got a Surface Pro but I'm too poor.
You probably already seen but I took the ASUS G75VX
After using it for a few days I have to say that Windows 8 is the best 'mobile' OS I've used. It's just a shame that the RT version has so few apps - and the ones they do have are overpriced to hell.
Microsoft needs to iron out a lot of things when it comes to their apps and such for metro. Metro is really still in an alpha stage for me. Hopefully 8.1 fixes a lot of the problems, but Windows 8 is great for a lot of other reasons.
Are there any programs that let you add a touchscreen button overlay to games? I want to play games such as Hotline Miami on my tablet.

Splashtop on Android and iOS does, not sure about the Windows 8 version.
Is there any way I could left align the tiles on my start screen?

I think they would look better on the left.
they are on the left?
Technically he is correct
Maybe he was going for Justified?

I meant play locally on my Windows tablet, rather than using Splashtop.
