I'm liking the look of the Asus VH242H. Shame the price is pretty inflated here in the UK.
I have the smaller version of that monitor (the 224H), and I absolutely adore it. Best monitor I've ever used.
I have the smaller version of that monitor (the 224H), and I absolutely adore it. Best monitor I've ever used.
That's good to know actually, since I was looking at the smaller model as well. Is it easy to read text at that size though?
I'm stuck with the VGA-only Envision H191W 19-inch widescreen LCD. It's been good to me for 3 years, but I want a 24" 1920x1080.
Is 64-bit included with the Windows 7 package or do I need to order it separately?
Is 64-bit included with the Windows 7 package or do I need to order it separately?
You get 2 cds. One with 32 bit, and the other With 64.
I still haven't bought it, that damn Student offer only gives out Upgrade disks, which may not work for me as I have a OEM Vista, and I may have to give the PC the OEM version is installed on to my brother whenever I build my own PC. I've heard that installing a upgrade invalidates the old OS, which I still need. But I have also heard that the Build 7100 RC counts as a old OS, so maybe I won't have to invalidate my Vista...can anyone confirm that?
Quick question: I want to have all my programs combine on my taskbar but I don't want the names to hide. There is no option for this. All that I can choose from is: Never Combine, Combine when taskbar is full, and Always combine and hide labels. :(
Never combine still combines them, it's just very subtle. (Those are 2 IE windows, not tabs.)
Open an Administrator Command Prompt Type: bcdboot C:\Windows /s c: If you're not using US English, you will need to add -l (locale) to that.
You coul have saved me a hell of a lot of time and problems if you where quicker at the reply.
I have a quick question, not strictly Windows 7 related, but it's to do with windows. If I get a new PC in the next couple of months, can I use the same copy of 7 on my new computer if I uninstall it from the old one first? Legally that is - I know it's possible, but I wanted to know the legality.
Depends. Is it an OEM (pre-installed by a manufacturer) or Retail (bought the software at a store) copy? OEM = No Retail = Yes
Every time I'm off the computer I keep thinking to myself wanting to install Windows 7 and then I get home, turn on the PC and the exhilaration is gone :(
That's good to know actually, since I was looking at the smaller model as well. From about 4 feet away I can still read the little text that says Inbox Controls etc up at the top of this page. Granted, I have better than most eyesight, but most people should have no trouble.
Start drooling.
Video quality is not enough for drooling :saddowns:
Video quality is not enough for drooling :saddowns:
Heh, I know. I used my phone. It's pretty good for a phone. (Nokia 5530)
Depends. Is it an OEM (pre-installed by a manufacturer) or Retail (bought the software at a store) copy? OEM = No Retail = Yes
Also if it's the kind of OEM you can buy on newegg, then it's mostly legal but you'll probably have to call in to activate.

How do I make the above a reality?

Is anybody else having problems with playing DTS audio in beta versions of 7? I still have 7100 on my HTPC and I have yet to install the RTM. But as it stands, it just will not play any DTS audio. Everything else works just fine.
This is what I am looking for all the time, not just when the taskbar fills up:
Tabs in chrome in superbar. How. [editline]08:37PM[/editline] Also look what i'm going to wear on release day :D Speaking of release day, HP finally made a device stage for my printer! It's ugly!
My Zen shows up as a portable device. I want to add a drive letter to it so I can format it to something. How can I make it not be a device thing?

I'm debating on whether to order Win 7 or not, Overclockers have the lowest price that I trust compared to others on Google shopping but I don't think I have enough monies! D:
I don't know why Windows 7 is so popular among gamers, as it can crash every game that was released after 2004.
I don't know why Windows 7 is so popular among gamers, as it can crash every game that was released after 2004.
For you or others? All I've read is better if not the same performance people got on Vista.
I don't know why Windows 7 is so popular among gamers, as it can crash every game that was released after 2004.
wat I've never had a 7 related game crash for any recent games.
