Anyone got an MD5 sum (or SHA1 maybe?) for: en_windows_7_ultimate_x64_dvd_x15-65922.iso I tried downloading it off MSDN, and Firefox told me it messed it up. I'm pretty sure it's messed up because the file size is 2.8gb instead of 3.0gb. I don't want to download such a huge file on my crap internet again, so I'd like to verify it. My dad has the MSDN password, so I can't login until tomorrow morning anyway. The md5 sum I'm getting is b042215f25554b87353feaaced46c2fa [editline]01:54AM[/editline] Nevermind, Google got it. http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showthread.php?t=7741 The real SHA1 hash is: 326327... My SHA1 is: 3447ba8b9c73de8c57a5eb878cc4aaa8c8c9b874 Obviously corrupt. :saddowns:

BSOD The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffff80002e9799d, 0xfffff8800a0b5710, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 102509-21996-01.
I've gotten 3 BSODs so far, but this was since RC back in May which I'm still using
I got a BSOD earlier today, the first one ever with Windows 7. The fuck?
I got a BSOD too, but it was because of my crappy hard drive. really need a new one, it will fail soon... :(
i only got a bsod from a crappily written tweaking program.
I just installed my Windows 7, so far everything is working fine. Been using Build 7100 before it and kept getting a shitload of BSODs.. Not sure whether it's because of the RC itself or because of the drivers (or ever hardware...?).
I'm too afraid to upgrade to w7 now. My new drivers have imrpoved support for w7 and all but I'm not sure if my mobo will like it. Still... my pc is only a few months old. :ohdear: [editline]02:01PM[/editline] Specially after I saw the thread saying "Can't load steam games after installing w7" I got both Left 4 Dead 2 demo and Borderlands to look forward to on steam so I'm afraid that if I'll update and shit hits the fan I won't be able to play. Specially since I have a week off school now since it's fall break.
I haven't had any BSOD's yet, but i did have a problem when i started the computer up and after the 'Welcome' screen i got the taskbar at the bottom and everything else was black. Restarted and it's fine now.
No BSOD for me yet. Granted, I haven't been playing much games; my restoring my backed up STALKER folder failed since I had a bunch of mods installed, now I gotta re-download the game.
I'm so bored. I feel like installing it and if it all fails just format. I'll manage to redownload l4d2demo and Borderlands before their releases anyway. OFF I GO!

Or, you could just back up the GCFs and slam them back into your steam folder when you reinstall steam, avoiding the slog of redownloading them.
I'm currently on 64Bit. I was wondering a few things. What's the difference between 'program files (x86)' and just 'program files' because everything i'm installing is going in the x86 folder. And how come steam is using 50% of the cpu at all times and is fine once i restart it. In task manager it also has (X86) next to it. Thanks.

Alright thanks guys. Steam has only done it once so if it does it again i'll reinstall.

So far everything is working just fine, haven't run a game yet but we'll see. I'm loving it so far.
My copy of w7 doesn't arrive for 4 days :saddowns:
I need some Minimalistic themes for this :bang:
http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?p=17946608
So does this work like any P2P network? With my slow Internet, I really love P2P because I can pause downloads so I can do something else with my internet for a little bit (i.e. youtube) I started torrenting the Win7 iso last night, and it's almost done (12 hours later...) If the MD5 and SHA1 sum are the same, I'll use the torrented ISO (since that would mean it's untouched/uncracked). I already got the key off MSDN. I'll still check this out; looks like some interesting stuff may be on there.
Just so you know, MSDN has the hashes under "Details" for each individual download.
Oh yeah, I found that a page back. :v:

Hey, is anyone else here having the bug where your Recycle Bin icon will sometimes randomly vanish when sending something there or emptying it?

Also, I remember once asking somebody in this thread how many computers each MSDN key allowed. The answer was one. I've installed like five computers with one key, so I'm going to go ahead and assume it allows 10 computers per key.

So you can do 100 computers if you use all 10 keys.
