7 is coming in next tuesday. Will I have to re-install my Steam games? And will I loose my Borderland saves?!??! :O
7 is coming in next tuesday. Will I have to re-install my Steam games? And will I loose my Borderland saves?!??! :O
If you are doing an upgrade from say Home Premium Vista to 7 Home Premium, then you won't have to reinstall any steam games, and your saves for Borderlands will be fine. However, if you are not upgrading, and are doing a custom install, which includes formatting, then you will have to move your save files to a usb flash drive or external harddrive, and you will have to reinstall your steam games. I am loving my 7 Ultimate x64. Runs like a charm!
7 is coming in next tuesday. Will I have to re-install my Steam games? And will I loose my Borderland saves?!??! :O
As long as you back up everything then you won't lose your saves, and reinstalling your games is as simple as moving your steamapps folder.
Why doesn't my recently played games show up? :( It only shows Tasks and Store, Community, etc.
Me too :frown:

I just got my 7 ultimate in the mail, and i can upgrade to it no problem (says windows 7 upgrade advisor), but I just wanna make sure if it's atleast somewhat safe to upgrade and if some else has done it before without a problem, please tell :)

Why wouldn't it be? But it's better to make a clean install anyway.
It's safe. Why wouldn't it be? But it's better to make a clean install anyway.
Too much important shit, no backup drive :(
Too much important shit, no backup drive :(
Important stuff + no backup drive...guess you're hoping the hard drive doesn't fail.
Important stuff + no backup drive...guess you're hoping the hard drive doesn't fail.
It's relatively new. I'm hoping on getting a backup drive soon.
Why doesn't my recently played games show up? :( It only shows Tasks and Store, Community, etc.
Same here, it showed my recently played games for a while but not anymore. Maybe the latest update (http://store.steampowered.com/news/3010/) broke it.
Delete files you don't need.
I have 150 gb left on that drive.
I have 150 gb left on that drive.
Use a better program to shrink?
I recommend using this: http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html
Woot! Steam works with the Superbar!
lol
Use GParted, it can shrink partitions to a smaller size than Windows Partition Manager (GParted is an offline partition manager that is booted off of a flash drive or CD).

This guy's an idiot. He doesn't even know the basic features of Win7, like middle clicking to open a new window of a pinned program.
I found funny is his themes thing was borked up the ass.
