I actually have a new version I never released. I need to make it consistent though.
Release either way? The alpha is awesome. :buddy:

I want the Windows 8 pre-pre-pre-alpha.
Too bad at this point it is either exactly like Windows 7 or nonexistent.

Exactly like 7.

I want real proof that it exists.

These are only build number shots however it's from the people who leaked everything during 7:

I remember they said "Oh 7 is almost finished and they're adding tons of new icons and wallpapers before release!" which never happened. They gave a lot of fabricated dates as well. They were right about some stuff, though. I just don't like how they guessed on some stuff and said it was truth.

I don't remember that first one. Though I wouldn't doubt as every last person following 7 expected new icons.
To be honest, I expected them to offer a whole new UI. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but the generic Macfag#55356 will look at it and go, "Oh, it's Vista with a new name." It would definitely start it from scratch. People who disliked Vista could potentially look at 7 and think the same thing of it.
Question: How did 7 sell in comparison to Vista thus far?

Thanks, mate. I just hope it's enough to outshine XP as well.
So there are later builds... any changes in 7662 at all?

Probably nothing.

Except bugs.
I need some help. I was installing 7 and got this error in the report:
These devices might not work properly after the upgrade. Before upgrading, we recommend updating the drivers for these devices. Cancel the upgrade, open Control Panel and search for "update device drivers", or go to the device manufacturer's website to search for updated drivers.

I just tried XP mode for 7. Holy fuck is it slick. Why aren't all virtual PC programs this good?
I just tried XP mode for 7. Holy fuck is it slick. Why aren't all virtual PC programs this good?
Because the developers of the other VMs don't want to make it slower or lower performance.
I just tried XP mode for 7. Holy fuck is it slick. Why aren't all virtual PC programs this good?
Are you kidding? XP mode is slow as fuck and it doesn't even start to compare to the real thing.
Fast enough for what I use it for, and I just really love how I don't have to piss about with capturing my mouse and keyboard in the window each time. It just....works.
Also I do like how the VM is starved of video memory so the right click menus actually expand instead of just appearing. Looks better that way.
Is there a difference between the RC and the Final version? I'm thinking about switching over today but I don't know if there's anything different that I'm missing.

Mainly minor bug fixes. Nothing major (or at all) has been added as far as I know.

VirtualBox guest additions.
.
I was disagreeing with his statement calling it a major speed boost, because I don't believe there was much change in performance at all.

It's not a matter of believe though.
