It's not a matter of believe though.
Go look at benchmarks then.
Is there any new voices for the windows text to speech? I hate microsoft anna, it doesn't sound fluid at all.
Go look at benchmarks then.
He's not disagreeing with you, he's just saying that it is not a matter of beliefs; it's a fact that there are no major speed improvements between the RC and the RTM.

Either "Believe is not good enough" or "not JUST believe, but it's FACT." Whatever, RE-RAIL.
Arrghh! I'm so ready to buy Windows 7, but I can't access my school email inbox until I go to school tomorrow. We haven't been given details about our email system at school. I went for trial and error in Thunderbird to connect but I couldn't get it. Now I have to wait a whole day :(.
Nothing major.
On every single computer I've upgraded from the RC to the RTM the speed picked up quite considerably.
In the installation, how do I skip the incompatibilities? The "Next button" was replaced with Close.
VirtualBox guest additions.
that argument doesn't work for firefox and it doesn't work for this.
that argument doesn't work for firefox and it doesn't work for this.
What? Yes it does. VirtualBox will capture your mouse in every program, because it's the OS doing it via a driver. As for the windows appearing, I have that disabled because it's a waste of time so I couldn't tell you.
In the installation, how do I skip the incompatibilities? Once you've fixed it, the next time you run it it should allow you to go on.
I love xp mode, it allowed me to make my old webcam from 2000 useful again. My only grip with windows 7 is how when you maximize the window you lose the window border.
Why does MS get so much credit when they add something that competitors have had for years. XP Mode isn't new in the slightest. It is for MS but you could do everything you can with XP Mode with other alternatives.
that argument doesn't work for firefox and it doesn't work for this.
I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. In any case, my argument is perfectly valid. VirtualBox guest additions captures the mouse and keyboard automatically just like XP mode.
My only grip with windows 7 is how when you maximize the window you lose the window border.
Eh? Same with XP and Vista. Unless you're talking specifically about XP mode?

Wait, what does RC mean and what's the difference between 7100 and 7600? Is 7100 incomplete? Why would it be free and legal otherwise? Also, I have my OS on one hard-drive and everything else on another. If I install 7100 will all my stuff still work? Especially stuff that refuses to install to only one hard-drive, like Visual Studio. How painful is it to install? Can I keep all my start menu shortcuts/etc? I spent a long time getting all my start menu shortcuts organized. In the end, I just want to know if it makes sense to download 7100 and install it soon. I also have a DX10 compatible card, if that makes a difference in my decision.
Release Candidate. Yes it's incomplete. It's for testing and providing feedback for the final product.
Is there anyway to change the default installation path in Windows 7 64-bit? Jesus Christ this is bugging me, I've searched all over the Internet but there just seems to be dead ends. Help.
Like, you mean how all programs seem to, by default, install to Program Files?
Yeah, I want them to go onto my other harddrive.
Yeah, I want them to go onto my other harddrive.
http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/how-to-change-the-default-location-for-installing-applications-in-windows/ Try this. It's for XP, but as far as I know, it should be pretty much the same for W7.
You have to make a custom ISO with something like vLite.
Hey, I've decided to run check disk, but my pc keeps falling asleep every few minutes. It's taken a few hours now, minus the time it was sleeping. Do you think it's going to finish the check? When the check started, it froze at the "1 second left" message and disk acess light on my lappy started flashing. When I wake it up the light starts flashing again but the screen is blank. Should I be worried?
I've never been able to finish a check disk in 7. Last time it took 3 or 4 hours before I said fuck it and stopped it.
Is there any way to disable automatic disk checking for a specific drive? Windows 7 always wants to check my D: drive at startup and it's annoying.
Is there any work arounds to missing printer drivers? (specifically 'hp officejet 5500')

What do you mean?
That's where we all have to use our psychic powers.
What do you mean?
He means XP mode is better because.
My friends, I believe we have stumbled upon the relatively rare Microsoftus Fanboyus, sworn enemy of the much more prevalent Macus Tardus.
