How does everyone have these MSDN subscriptions? Through your school or something?
yeah through a college/university
Hey does Windows virtual PC only work with windows OS's I can't get fedora to run
Can you get MSDN in High Schools in Australia cause if you can I will have a chat with our principal...
The MSDN Academic Alliance is a great program that everybody should take advantage of. The cost of the programs that you gain access to easily outweighs the measily $500-900 it costs to purchase a license per year. Everyone needs to get in on this... Wish we had shit like this back three years ago...

Fucking hell, I gotta decide if I should use the newly released Windows Server 2008 R2 (Been using 2008 for quite a while now) or Windows 7... Tough decision.

I received an email with my username and password for the site, I think you'll have to ask at your college.

Mine was tucked away on an obscure part of my uni website. Basically your uni needs to make your student identifier, and from that you can register.

ask your school, I got my MSDN account through my school mail back when I started and I still get all my stuff (and W7) from it.

You need to reset your colour profiles.
Windows 8 is possibly going to be a 128 bit OS btw
what?
Windows 8 is possibly going to be a 128 bit OS btw
That would be kind of pointless, considering how x64 is just beginning to become popular.
If you find your school in the MSDNAA list and are able to get to the log-in page but do not know your user/pass, click on Support. There should be an email address listed, send them an email asking.

It's been popular for a while, but it's only now it is being pushed down to the mid to low range prebuilt PCs. It might be a bit early considering how Intel or AMD have yet to make a mainstream 128 bit processor, but meh
we have no reason to go past 64-bit, we're thousands and thousands of miles from it's limits.

My point exactly, that's the largest segment of the computer market.

Pretty much this.

Doesn't mean I don't love it!
My point exactly, that's the largest segment of the computer market.
Yeah but they aren't really aware of it, so it isn't really popular in the same way.
Yeah but they aren't really aware of it, so it isn't really popular in the same way.
Well when I said popular I meant in terms of the whole computer market, the fact that most people don't know about it supports my argument.
