He provoked me at every turn, I was just stating what I thought was true. Wasn't flaming or trolling.

And how is saying "k lol" flaming or trolling? I just decided too leave it at that, but of course he replied with his smart ass response tempting me to reply. And I'm the one who is flaming? OH PLEASE, your just siding with him because he is far more influenced than me. Your blinded by that fact.

But anyway, I'm out, this thread has been completely derailed and I've already answered the OP's question to the best of my ability.
Look at the second comment I quoted, that's plain flaming. And the "k lol" is pretty much just "I don't have a better answer". He then tells you to leave the section because it appears that you don't have a clue of what you're saying, and you respond to this with that he's fucking stupid and that he should just admit that you're right without any proof. I side with him, because I know he's right and because he's by far the most experienced one. If you're told to leave a section, take your time gathering information for a proper response to proove him otherwise.

Just give it up he already left the thread. Report if he does it again.
ditch the sound card, creative's Vista and 7 software has been complete shit for a long time, and regardless it's not really necessary as the motherboard will do it fine, not to mention the 460 does too when connected to a TV or AV receiver via HDMI
OK, I remember this was the case when I was thinking of a sound card 2 years ago. Its still really that bad? I'm a musician and I really notice the sound in gaming and stuff, so I'd love to try it if the sound is improved, but if its still that bad then I'll just skip it.
I wish they made motherboards without the shitty onboard sound and onboard graphics. I could very well do without those.

if you don't have the proper speakers, it's not going to make any difference

depends on the motherboard, really, some of them have great sound
OK since I lost the deal on the EVGA + combo deal, I'm looking at other GPUs, and I saw the Talon Attack.
Looks like this thing is getting great reviews from everywhere I look. Supposedly its on-par with / outperforms the 470. What do you guys think?
The thing is, I can either get this for $215, or get the EVGA 460 for $180 (after mail in rebate).

I probably won't overclock at all. I just don't feel comfortable overclocking and then wondering if any problems I have are because of something I did. I'd happily pay a little extra money for a card that is properly overclocked, while still under warranty, if its worth it ($30 extra).
