My Computer Refuses To Send a Signal to My Monitor Occasionally

As the title says, some weeks it will just work flawlessly, and one day out of nowhere, when I turn my PC on, my monitor won't receive a signal from it at all.
This problem persisted over 3 entirely different setups, including different monitors as well. The GPU is not faulty for sure, and I've basically had this problem for all of my ATi cards thus far, although I'm sure it's not brand-specific. :downs:
Anybody else getting this or find a solution for this problem? Fixing it is sort of random. Sometimes I'll just hit restart a few times and it will work, and sometimes I have to unplug it for a few minutes and plug it back in.
Specs, although largely irrelevant:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450
6GB DDR2 RAM
2x ATI HD4850 (CrossfireX)
ATI Rampage Formula series MB
etc.
is the cable screwed in to both your video card and monitor?
try replacing the cable yet?
Oh, I'm sure the cable is fine, although yes I've replaced basically everything.
It never cuts out while my computer is on or anything. It just develops its bullshit overnight.
Would it matter if it was a CRT or Flatscreen?
Er, I don't think so, but I use a flatscreen.
Mine did this alot
I gave the PCI-E slot a clean and reseated the card and it was solved, Also turning the computer off at the mains supply helped (Mine sometimes woulnd't turn completely off, and would try to "Resume" from a state it could not, resulting in failed video)
When I think about it.. This started to happen with the 9.3 branch of drivers for me :s - Maybe the drivers are causing the card to shut down incorrectly, Resulting in failed startup (And unplugging it for a few mins is clearing any state it has?)
