You can do anything that you can do in any other languages, so dont say you cant do shit. The only difference is that it requires .net framework to run .net programs, but every new computer comes with it so it doesnt really affect much. Dont troll .net unless you know what you're talking about.

You can do the same things with VB.Net than C# or any .NET language.
The old VB versions (VB6 and older) were garbage. VB.Net is actually a quite powerful programming language. Yeah, it's really a high-level programming language, higher than Python or whatever, yet it's still a powerful programming language. You can do the same program in C++ and VB.Net, the only thing that'll change will be the time you spend writing it. No low level stuff, oh, what a shame, you won't have to deal with pointers or make every fucking method like in C
