Hang on, it will be 1c more since you will be buying more than 10
What? What do you mean?
Im still open to options if anyone wants to make a build. :D

If you buy bulk the price goes down. It is only $27 if you buy 4+ which in this case you would be and it has free shipping.

Go with your build which is great with the GPU I posted. I will be cheap and a great PC for what they want. Actually. It is a great computer for even light gaming.
Awesome thanks.
Sounds good. Thanks guys!
If their grant allows, I'll build these and make a build log with lots of pics.
why would you build a mini-atx computer that is going to end up totally caked with dust no matter what kind of filter you put on it instead of using a perfectly good aspire revo?
I would make about 3 computers for 600/700 each order 15 kvm switches and screens run vm's from those computers to 5 computers, have only 3 computers to maintain.

Atom's use less power, electricity isn't as cheap as 6cent per/kwh as it is in say op's country it might be 20c which adds up, just send them a something that says CLEAN THESE OUT EVERY MONTH and they will probably do so
Remember kids, these are classroom computers. I think getting 1 GB RAM, a Sempron, and XP (or maybe even Linux) would be a better option
How about 1.5 gigabytes of RAM. Well then again, XP can run on 512 mb.
The school is run by the charity which is mainly a hospital. They have medical equitment that uses electricity and my brother's main goal when he goes down there is to get the computers up and running with internet.
If i understand correctly, it IS indoors but it isnt a clean classroom if you know what i mean. Im sure someone down there can figure out how to clean them out. Plus im going down there next year to help out. I can clean out the computers then and show people how...
Thanks
If dust is going to be an issue, I've seen budget casemods where the modder used cheap pantyhose stretched over the intake fan as a makeshift dust filter. You could always do something like that yourself if you believe it would help.
Hey, take a look at my build... Without the OS, it's around 250$, so there's space for a small GPU. It's an Athlon II x2 with 2GB DDR3 1333MHz, and a 160GB HDD. Isn't this what you needed :colbert:?
your computers do not need graphics cards
I agree. My brother wants to cut costs even more...he said he wants a single core processor.
I think the dual is fine but he wants a single.
So no graphics card and a single would bring it down like 60 dollars...
I could get this OEM dual core and a heatsink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819104021
Thoughts?
Thanks for all the help guys!

This build costs 278,41$ without shipping, for 15 computers total, without shipping, 4176,15$.
snip
$20 over budget
Budget were 300$?
It was around 300 but my brother said the cheaper the better. Really...these things dont have to be powerful.
They also want screens. I told them to talk to another company and try to get them for cheap but you guys are amazing and may find a good deal. Nothing special..
@pepper: please repost your build. I have been using different parts of different people's builds to make one that i thought would be good. Something with 2g of ram, a decently sized hard drive (just for word documents, and maybe the occasional picture off the internet), basic dvd rom drive, ect.
If anyone else wants to make a build i would REALLY appreciate it!!!
Ill probably make a build log as i make them. It wont be like milky's but ill do my best :D Ill take pictures of the mass amounts of computer parts in my room
you wont need 2 gigs just for word and web browsing (unless you have like 500 tabs open)
i reposted the aspire revo earlier
all you probably will need is like an 80 gig HDD, a single core sempron, a gig of ram, onboard graphics and a 300 watt PSU
[editline]01:49AM[/editline]
hell you could even try and go fanless

This one, it's actually cheaper since it has free shipping, and it has a cooler on it already. Plus, some people have said they can unlock a second core.
This motherboard:

It can unlock cores, and is really cheap.

Shit, talk about bottlenecks.
I'm on iPhone so I don't want to quote people...
I like the processor and mobo you posted.
I agree with the 1gb of ram, single core, no video card,
I'm about to go to a party but I'll look at parts later.
The new build will be:
single core
1gb of ram
mobo listed above
same hdd
300W psu
case(maybe no fans, or 1 that pushes air out of the case)
Thanks!
