With good reason - I tried to save the OP from aggressive idiots blindly defending a crappy power supply, only for him to turn up and and tell me I'm the one being a dick.
well it seems that your the only one that thinks its a shitty power supply
[editline]06:05PM[/editline]
if i was the op i would go with the majority opinion
Me, CPsharp and the review site. With proof. The people who disagree have only say "it's JUST good get it" not "it's good because.."
the review site is not a person
[editline]06:07PM[/editline]
im sorry 2 people think it's a shitty power supply
Ok the review wrote itself. :downs:
no a person wrote it
[editline]06:19PM[/editline]
the review site is a thing, not a person
What's that got to do with anything.. You know what I meant by that you're just nitpicking.

Tell me.
Have you worked with or owned this Cooler Master PSU?
I built a PC with one and it worked great.
Also, Hardware Secrets sounds more like a gossip/opinion based site to me.
Seriously. I wouldn't trust that site just like I wouldn't trust a tabloid.
The 10 stage review with detailed tests is gossip.
With good reason - I tried to save the OP from aggressive idiots blindly defending a crappy power supply, only for him to turn up and and tell me I'm the one being a dick.
Yes, all of us idiots defending something that we have actually used or tested ourselves and found it to be great.
I now trust your opinions about as much as I trust Rosewill or Logisys Power Supplies.
I don't need to own it to know that it has very low efficiency, apparent high failure rate (of 100 people that left reviews, more than 20 said it was DOA or died within a couple months), ripple & electrical noise outside of ATX spec, and then to top it all off it's closer to a 350-400W PSU than the 500 CM claim. You're telling me that's a great power supply? I wouldn't use it if you gave it to me.

Because ya know, everyone knows exactly what they're doing/talking about when they get a power supply then write a review.
You do realize that no one agrees with you?
It's a professionally written review, not the opinion of an easily satisfied consumer. That review has far more credibility than anyone in this thread, you can disagree all you like.
It's a PROFESSIONAL review, not an easily satisfied consumer like you.
The powersupply does what it's supposed to do, should I not be satisfied with that?
:fuckyou:hey ferrus, I'm using a Logisys brand PSU:razz:
Would you buy a Rosewill PSU? They work, so they must be good.
So Logisys PSUs work - why not use them?
Would you buy a Rosewill PSU? They work, so they must be good.
Are you saying that Cooler Master is on the level of Rosewill?
PROTIP: A large number of Rosewill power supplies are rebranded OCZs.
PROTIP: A large number of Rosewill power supplies are rebranded OCZs.
No, they are rebrands of lower quality Coolmax, Antec, and Apex.
Are you saying that Cooler Master is on the level of Rosewill?
No, I'm saying that, by your logic, Logisys are fine because they work.
Coolermaster rebrands that specific PSU from Acbel Polytec
Acbel Polytec? Where do you get all this info from FHamster?
No, they are rebrands of lower quality Coolmax, Antec, and Apex.
The lower end ones are, but the better ones (stallion series, rg, rx, Libertas, and Xtreme series) are all rebranded higher end powersupplies.
No, I'm saying that, by your logic, Logisys are fine because they work.
No, I clearly stated that the Cooler Master does what it's supposed to, not that "it works so :waycool:"
Ok it's clear OP wants a good PSU for a low price. Imo best option is the OCZ. It can actually output it's full labeled wattage so it gives OP room for upgrades, modular, 80 plus certified, active PFC, 3 year warranty.
Also enough with the bragging of who makes the best power supplies, the truth is almost none of these companies make power supplies. Coolermaster, OCZ, Corsair, Antec...none of them make power supplies, they just sell em: http://www.10stripe.com/articles/who-made-your-power-supply.php
