Finally have a monitor that can take advantage of my power. [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/CbZYO2z.png[/IMG_thumb]
Most people buy monitors for their computers, I'm temped to buy a computer for my monitor (Asus PB278Q)
Those are some nice temps. What cooling setup do you have?
Nothing that spectacular. Antec GX700 with full fans, 212 EVO with stock fan, GPU has the TwinFrozr. My i5 is only at 4.2GHz right now though, so that's a lot of the temp down. Next paycheck I'm getting push-pull for it though, and getting some diamond thermal paste for the CPU and GPU instead of the stock.
did i do good facepunch?

My Office desktop, not too shabby.
No speccy yet. The parts I ordered coming next week: I5 4670k 1 TB Seagate HDD 2x4 Gigs Patriot ram Asus Z87-A 1150 Ultra Gladiator Mid Tower Case XFX Pro 650W PSU Bronze+ Windows 7 GTX 560 1 GB All that up there for $730 Including shipping and tax. NOT including rebates. After rebates it should be 670. But I don't trust rebates so.. (Oh and I didn't mention the 650 Watt kingwin Shit CPU. Got it with the barebone kit but wasn't gonna put that shit in my new ass computer. That CPU goes in an older computer) 24x DVD Drive - Have one Gaming Mouse - Have one Keyboard - Have one Monitor - Have one In the end, not a bad deal! Considering I sold my older gaming computer for 600 bucks.

Also, the i5 is generally better for gaming than the i7. The 3570k is a top notch processor, only beaten in gaming by the updated 4670k, but the 3570k often allows a higher overclock. And as for the overclocking, make sure you are changing the ratio (should be at 34 stock), and not the base clock (should be at 100). Even the smallest change in the base clock will cause instability and a crash. [editline]5th March 2014[/editline] If you want some more in-depth instructions, pm me.

There's ring clock speeds and multipliers, normal clock speeds and multipliers. Seems a lot more complicated than my old C2Q was. I don't even know what the hell a ring clock is. (And last time I tried overclocking neither the normal multiplier option nor the ring clock multiplier option seemed to actually do anything.)
surprised this has remained capable this far, it's now about 2 1/2 years old, probably going to grab one of the next gen gpus whenever they release.
I wish I could OC but everything I've tried has resulted in constant BSODs.

Just built myself a NAS to go along with my laptop:
Dat sub 20c idle temp
Why does your GPU say 1535mb? it should have 2gb (or 4) not 1 1/2.
I guess my card is 1.5gb?
I guess my card is 1.5gb?
The 760 only comes in 2gb and 4gb though. edit: oh well it appears they have a 192 bit OEM 760 with 1.5gb I didn't know that existed.
This is weird the card is read as a 760 in Speccy, Dxdiag, Geforce, and Device Manager but in Geeks3D it's read as 660, and funny enough there's a 660 1.5gb that looks exactly like my card but the 760 also looks exactly like it. I'm so confused right now... The fact that they're so similar doesn't help http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-760-vs-GeForce-GTX-660

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/854?vs=783
Now I'm really paranoid. Is there any way to check the specific specs of the card or anything like that to make sure it's a 760 and not some 660 disguised as a 760 haha? My dad bought it a while ago and he thought it was a 2gb 760, idk anything about where he got it from.
Who's it made by? (EVGA,Gigabyte,MSI, Etc.)
