New laptop time Speccy didn't detect it, but it has an NVIDIA NVS 4200M as well
FX-8350 @ 4.00GHz. Going to learn how to properly overclock in bios though because I know I can get way more out of it.

I have a huge window a few feet away that draws all the cold air to it, so yeah my room gets pretty nippy :v: Also installed a fan controller the other day, with two Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition fans on a Corsair H60 liquid cooling block. So that might have something to do with it.

Recently upgraded as of Christmas.
My systems a bit on the weird side when it comes to performance balancing.
So many 970s in this thread, can't wait for mine to arrive.
The clockspeed doesn't show for some reason but it's 4.0 GHz

It bothers me that the one card runs hotter.
Well in SLI, the main card usually runs hotter than the other. [editline]19th January 2015[/editline] Which I find my cards on the low temp side. Usually the main idles at low to mid 60's and the second card in the 50's.
Super happy with the Hyper 212 Evo. CPU is oc'd to 4.00GHz.
Nothing really weird. An i5 and a 7970?
7950 overclocked to fuck and back, it's dumb because it beats its newer clone the R9 280's at times.
7950 overclocked to fuck and back, it's dumb because it beats its newer clone the R9 280's at times.
Yeah, it happens. My 680 beats out 770's, and the 770 is basically just it's clone.
I need to get a CPU water cooling thing, but right now i'm using the one that came with the CPU.

I underclocked it to 3.6ghz so that it doesn't get too toasty all the time until I can get aftermarket cooling. I do have a internal optical drive, it's just not plugged in.

My acer is a 120hz monitor, for some reason it won't let me switch it from 60hz. I should also get around to overclocking my cpu, and my GPU is a 7970. Have my 1 tb ssd and the rest of the drives are in RAID 0, have a 3tb backup drive so I don't lose of have my precious Linux distros.
My acer is a 120hz monitor, for some reason it won't let me switch it from 60hz.
You should definitely do some research into it since I'm no expert and might be remembering wrong but I believe I've read somewhere that you have to run your monitors all at the same refresh rate. (I may be mixing that up with g-sync monitors though but I'm not sure.)
