Not the best rig, but i had to save for about 1 year for it, so i'm proud of it. (600 euros) :v:
Definitely solid price/performance
I don't think I'll ever need anything better soon, upgrading from a crappy athlon xp and a radeon 9250 makes you wiser, I mean far cry 4 and unity were playable with everything set to max.
Actually running at 4.78GHz :P
My acer is a 120hz monitor, for some reason it won't let me switch it from 60hz. I should also get around to overclocking my cpu, and my GPU is a 7970. Have my 1 tb ssd and the rest of the drives are in RAID 0, have a 3tb backup drive so I don't lose of have my precious Linux distros.
Make sure that you are using DVI-D or Displayport as well. HDMI only supports 60hz.
Just need to get an SSD and this rig will be perfect .
You need to buy your rig a coat or a hat, it's freezing :O [editline]25th January 2015[/editline] I keep mine nice and warm... (can someone say jpg artifacts?) Installing new fans when I get my new case and 970 GTX. Also first gen Neanderthal i7 reppin'
Make sure that you are using DVI-D or Displayport as well. HDMI only supports 60hz.
Switched cables from HDMI to DVI-D, had it setup with DVI-D before I moved. I guess I didn't think about it much when I put it back together. Thanks.
Actually running at 4.78GHz :P
That's definitely a nice clock. What voltage do you have it at?
Built myself a new rig a few weeks ago. Feels fucking great to be able to max out pretty much everything I've tried so far without any noticeable frame-drops. Alien Isolation looks fucking beautiful.

You really need to change it asap its also burning your mobo in the process.
I finally finished my PC. Over the past few months I've slowly upgraded and this was the first time actually building the PC. I was a little concerned about my GPU temps but I made a custom fan profile and it seems stable.
[t]http://puu.sh/eZlI1.png[/t]
More CD drives than the featured cars
My cobbled-together system(s) from the remains of other computers (they operate as one unit), idle temps I wish I could afford higher-capacity storage

I'm giving up on that CPU, I've saved for a new case, fans ( Coolermaster hyper evos) but i'm only putting it all together once I have enough for a new motherboard and CPU because I'm not risking new hardware getting fried. I replaced the thermal paste and hoovered the dust out recently but not long after it was back to it's old fucking tricks. Old gen i7 and stock fan: nope

I need to ugprade my cpu
The CPU is an i7 4790k, not completely sure why it doesn't say that.
My new 13.3" laptop: The screen is at 1920 x 1080. The CPU is an i7-4710MQ (4 cores, 8 threads) It has a dynamic clock speed and goes between anything from 0.75GHz to 3.0GHz depending on usage. (It'll usually go to 3.0GHz only in the most demanding games or when rendering)
So many of you seem to have virtual daemon tools drives on your W8 systems. Any reason why?
So many of you seem to have virtual daemon tools drives on your W8 systems. Any reason why?
They couldn't settle for 8's inbuilt iso system ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They couldn't settle for 8's inbuilt iso system ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I know how DT works, I've no idea how Win8's system works. That's really the only reason.
I know how DT works, I've no idea how Win8's system works. That's really the only reason.
You right click on an ISO and open it with Windows Explorer and it mounts as a drive. All there is to it. However DT is probably more flexible.
As you can see my PC is... great... Please give me all of your money.
[T]http://i.imgur.com/tMgXIPN.png[/T] Waiting to buy the 34UM95, and a new 980.
