also, when the unibody macs were released i think they planned to discontinue the older black/white models and replace them with the unibody macbook (not pro) which are no longer sold under that name
the unibody macbook was rebranded as a macbook pro and they kept the older model as their standard macbook
i bought my unibody macbook before they made those changes. kind of wish i would have waited, but there's no way to know
