I wanna get my self an Android phone. I want something thats quad core but cant afford it because I wanna keep the price down as much as possible. I can afford a quad core if I go for unbranded which Id be more than happy to do. Only thing I have a question about is that all of them a dual sim. One for GSM and one for WDCMA like so: Does this mean every time I dont get 3G signal id have to change to another slot?
No. it just means that you can have 2 Sims with different carriers. And it depends on where your coverage is and what frequency it needs. All carriers are different. Does your network carrier depend on 3G only? If not then just get a single sim solution phone as they are the easiest to maintain other a dual sim.
Im with Three at the moment.
A friend on the US's west coast wants a VPN nearby, I know there was a guy on FP running a VPN service who probably would like the business but i dont know any VPN services there anyway. Any suggestions for him?
Anyone know how I can set a Video File as my screensaver under OS X?
Is there any reliable way of detecting and installing all missing drivers? After a change from Windows 8 to 7, there's random freezing, which didn't stop when I went back to 7 and then to 8 trying to fix it.
I've been looking everyone on the internet but can't find an answer. I moved to the UK a few months ago and brought my Xbox 360 with me, when I first plugged in my 360 through a UK connecter my power supply blew up. Stupid mistake made on my part because I didn't find out if I could use it over here before I plugged it in. I bought a UK power supply and have been playing my Xbox ever since. But soon I'm going to be moving back to the states and was wondering if I need to buy another American power supply or can I use an American converter piece for it to work? I'm pretty sure I'll have to buy a new one but clarification would be nice.
You'll need a new power brick or a foreign power adapter. But when it comes down to it, a power brick costs just as much. Last time I checked, which was a week ago, Microsoft doesn't rate their xbox power bricks for the varying voltages and frequency of other countries. I had someone come into work with that question a little while ago and had to help him out. But I'm sure you can purchase a third party power brick that does have the capability of taking 110-240v 50-60hz, but as I said, it'll cost just as much. So when it comes down to it, purchase a new power brick at the states.

My keyboard doesn't work while booting up, which means i can't get to go in the BIOS menu (sorry for bugging you all with this, but this is really getting me on my nerves), any ideas how to make it work?
Try different USB slots. I know my motherboard has specified slots for the keyboard and mouse, and all the other slots are disabled on boot.

Anyone know some really nice gaming headsets for about $80? I've been looking at the Creative Labs Sound Blaster rage headset but I really have no clue what to look for in headsets.
Plantronics GameCom headsets are real nice for the price.
Plantronics GameCom headsets are real nice for the price.
I have the gamecom 780 and it was nice at first but the felt is really itchy and it gathers dust and lint badly. I think I'll go with the v2 siberias from steelseries, I forgot how nice those were when my friend still had his pair.
I'm trying to make my external hard drive bootable, but it doesn't show up in the startup manager. It's powered by a plug, it just won't mount. On OS X by the way
My brother installed a ton of shit that came bundled with toolbars and other junk. Is it safe to assume that going through my programfiles folder and running the uninstaller for each of them actually removes everything it needs to remove? The folders disappear afterwards but I'm afraid there are still registry keys or other stuff hidden that won't get removed.
i have 6mbps down 1mbps up internet if i'm uploading stuff at 1mbps is my download now limited to 5mbps or is it's speed unchanged? i'm on att DSL

If I buy a 100 or 200hz TV screen, and plug it into my PC temporarily, will I be able to play games more smoothly than on my 60hz monitor? If my GPU can get this game to 100/200 fps of course.
You'll still only be seeing 60hz actually from the computer. The rest are just processed frames in the TV.
wait, how does it handle 3d then
wait, how does it handle 3d then
Depends how it does it. Active 3D means the tv is switching between two 60hz streams for a combined 120hz. Passive 3D means the screen is polarized on odd and even fields and each eye picks up a 1920x540 stream. Those PC monitors with 120hz can do direct 60hz active 3D. Tv's can't. They can only do duplicated frames but still feeding 60hz to each eye, just not 60fps.
I got an ASUS laptop (F550VB) that I removed everything that has ASUS in it from programs except for Power4Gear Hybrid. Here's the problem, everytime I boot now itsays "P4G" in the title window and the message is "This program can only be executed on the Asus PC" - now here is what I think, P4G is Power4Gear but the fun thing is that the program indeed can be executed, on boot it just says it can't. This message is really annoying me, because it doesn't seem like anything is wrong. I heard that deleteing the ATK Package thing might be the issue but I can't find a way to get it back because I removed it? Please if any help can be provided and possibly a fix it would save my weekend! [editline]16th November 2013[/editline] By the way it's Windows 8 64-bit.

What happens in a 7.1 set-up when the game only supports 5.1? Are the two remaining channels matrixed or just silent?
I think I may have cooling problems. Just to make sure, what's the best way to apply thermal paste? The way I last applied it was by making a pea sized ball in the center of the chip so that it covers a circular area in the middle of the processor when the heatsink squishes it down (whatever I watched at that time said I only needed to cover the central area because most heat gathers there).

The weight of the heatsink will spread it out and fill the air pockets themselves. You should NEVER spread it out since you're defeating the purpose of it which is to fill those air pockets.

I worded my post wrong and fixed it (meant to say that it covers a circular area when the weight of the heatsink spreads it). My friend has a boyfriend in the repair industry that claimed that you needed the size of two nickels so that a thick layer forms between the heatsink and processor :v:
I got a quick question and didn't really knew where to put it: I've completely formatted my pc. The C:\ Windows 250gb SSD only has 17gb used. The D:\ 2tb Data HDD is completely empty. Now i'm reïnstalling Steam. I put that on the C:\ Windows SSD because I use it alot and it really speeds up loading times for me. However for gmod I need entire games just for materials and stuff. But I don't really play them. Where would be the best place to put it? Because I only want games I spend alot of time on to be on the ssd for size issue's. But I don't know if I can install gmod on C and another game on D and if that defeats the purpose of it loading fast through SSD. I hope this is clear enough. Thanks!
