So getting kind of tired of my desktop being cluttered, even though I find it really convenient. I know there are docks and shit but those tend to only allow a certain amount of icons. So I need something I can hide icons in. Basically something like this: Original art do not steal.
Fences, by Stardock. It hides your icons in little boxes, which can be summoned with a hotkey. EDIT: I see this was already posted. Sorry.
Last I checked it was free for personal use, even if you used the "Free Trial" button.
Version 1.01 is. Everything above though has that 30 day trial.

Networking noob here. My entire network (consists of 124 Ethernet devices, probably the max) all on /24 subnet. 50 of those devices are phones on a VLAN, with the IP scheme of 192.168.254.X/24 Then the rest are 10.1.10.x/24 (PCs, switches, printers, etc). I'm still limited to 254 devices, correct? Because both are on the 255.255.255.0 subnet? I originally assumed I can use: 192.168.254.1-192.168.254.254 and 10.1.10.1 - 10.1.10.254

What you're planning works, but it's a bit confusing, I like to standardize on one private address range, maybe use 10.0.1.0/24 and 10.0.2.0/24?

I didn't originally setup the network, or I would have. All the phones have static ip's, and nobody is willing to give me after hours time to change them all. (They should have been on DHCP originally).
Currently my secondary hard drive is being a bitch. I recently installed my MSI FM2-A85XA-G43 motherboard, installed a Windows 7 Ultimate copy which I got from some guy, and find that drive unavailable, it does show up in device manager, but not in explorer and not even Disk Management. What should I do? I've been trying a lot by now.

I'm assuming you're using SATA? I'm trying to think how you could get yours to show back up...
Yes, it's a SATAII drive on SATAIII, but I found out SATAIII drives are backwards compatible to SATAII motherboards, so I expect it should be the other way around as well, as well did I read this somewhere.
If you rescan drives in Disk Management does it show up in the bottom list? When I did my HDD it was only in one of the lists there so I right clicked to initialize and then added a partition. Or it might just need to have a drive letter assigned to it. If that doesn't work there's still more solutions to try out, I went through a lot of them until I found that one which worked for me and got me a bit closer.
I've tried that, no dice. Any ideas? [editline]17th December 2013[/editline] NEVER MIND, now I found out the bottom list and set it up. Thanks a lot!
Is there any way to, using a blu-ray drive, extract game content from ps3 games such as audio files, 3d models, textures etc. ?
Should I upgrade from a 1.5 gb 580 to a 2 gb 760? 1680*1050
Should I upgrade from a 1.5 gb 580 to a 2 gb 760? 1680*1050
If you want to upgrade then you should probaly make the jump to 770 instead, also any other bottlenecks you might have? Possibly a SSD (and Win8 if you don't already have it) would be more suited.
I do have a SSD (w/ win 7 on it), my other specs are i5-2500k, and 8gb of ram. 770 is kinda pushing it price wise though

[t]http://puu.sh/5QCSA[/t] Why do I have the basic portal textures?
Currently using a built-in webcam for my laptop, and the recording result is terrible. (low framerate ~0.51, 480x360) If I use a better webcame, does it mean I'll get better quality?
Is there any way to, using a blu-ray drive, extract game content from ps3 games such as audio files, 3d models, textures etc. ?
Yes, but not reliably. If the game is using a well-known and widely-compatible model format, you should be able to open them in a regular editor. Except maybe for MP3/OGG audio, that usually means the game is running on an unmodified UE3 or such. Even then, I'm not 100% sure that PS3 UE3 uses the same model and texture formats as PC UE3. If you have a working PS3 emulator, you could run the game in that emulator and rip from that as you would for any PC game. Unfortunately, I know of no PS3 emulators that actually work. If all that fails, you could try reverse-engineering the data formats yourself. But since you're asking whether this is even possible, you probably don't have the skills or patience to do this. That's not a slur on your abilities - doing this is really fucking hard, and requires a shit-ton of time. I'm not sure I would be able to do it.

It uses less power and that shadowplay thing tho
[t]http://puu.sh/5QCSA[/t] Why do I have the basic portal textures?
Judging by everything else on the screenshot, you're using low graphics settings, maybe that's why?

I have the ac66r and the range is amazing. Only complaint is qos, but tomato firmware fixes that. We already bought it because it was on a pretty big sale. [editline]18th December 2013[/editline] Every time I ask for advice on some product, nobody ever responds. The one day I say to myself "fuck it, nobody will ever respond, I'm just going to buy it now," is the day that somebody responds.
My motherboard is saying that I need to update my BIOS, and the keyboard isn't working. Is it bricked, or would there be any way to recover from this? It's an Asus motherboard with American Megatrends BIOS.
Is the 780 ti worth it over the 780 if I was going for a 2560x1440 screen? and on that note, really, is the extra resolution of a 1440p monitor really worth the increased load on the graphics card? I want to be able to play pretty much everything at maximum settings at a relatively smooth fps. So in a year or so I assume the 1440p will eventually put a strain on the 780 ti where, instead, I could have simply had a 1080p with not much of a noticeable difference between the two resolutions. tl;dr is 780 ti worth it over a 780 if I am getting 1440p and also is it worth it if I am getting a 1080p

Even with that, you're not going to max out every game, but 1440p is definitely worth it. For what it's worth, I game on a 1440p monitor using just a 6870. I max out most old-enough games (UT3, max settings with forced 4xSSAA+8xMSAA, still >60fps), and even relatively intense games look good (BF3, medium-high settings, FXAA only). And you can *definitely* see the difference between a game running at 1080p and one running at 1440p - there's about twice as many pixels, total, and with the higher DPI on 27" 1440p screens, you don't have as pressing a need for antialiasing anyways.
