Maybe this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130809
that's not gonna cut it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130882 this will do you well.
I would avoid the reference coolers. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127697 But, iirc the 7950 is a better value at the moment. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150590
acknowledge, will keep looking
Also, 3D gaming isn't worth the performance hit you'll take. It's more of a gimmick if anything at the moment.
it's not http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_660_Ti_Power_Edition/30.html
Old benchmarks, they mean nothing since they're using OLD drivers. Check out the new benches by Linus with the newest drivers on both sides, AMD wins pretty much every time. So recently I bought me a new 24" monitor with HDMI input that I indented to use for my main screen (With my DVI being backup) and as soon as I plugged it in, it decided not to work. If I used it by itself with the DVI cable from my other monitor, it would work, but HDMI was screwing around. It wasn't being detected or anything, so I did the standard procedure and updates my graphics card and sure enough, both monitors were running smoothly, one HDMI, one DVI. However, the next time I started my computer, I had the same problem, as if nothing happened, so I rolled back my drivers, it worked, then I re-updated them and it was fine. But now, every time I launch my computer, the screen won't work with the same problem and I have to roll back and update again. Specs: Intel(R) HD Graphics Intel(R) Core i5-3330 CPU @ 3 GHz 8 GB RAM 64-bit P.S I don't know thaat much about computer stuff nor dual monitoring apart from the fact its fun and very handy
Anyone know if it's possible to assign 4 physical CPU cores to one virtual CPU in VSphere/ESX 5.1? Basically I want to have 4 cores act as one big virtual core.
Is there some way to see who is doing what on the public wifi at my sharehouse? At about this time every day someone gets home or something and the internet goes to a crawl and kaspersky keeps telling me someone is attempting to connect to my computer. I want to fuck with them back.
Another question. I am re-building my server and am faced with this issue: I have 2 RAID controllers as indicated by that setup. I have 6 400GB drives and 3 1TB drives. I am looking for the optimal setup with the hardware given. I know I have more drives than ports so obviously I can't use them all. When given the above hardware, what would you suggest be the optimal setup? This will be for a media/file server so I need a mix of space and speed.
My motherboard is driving me nuts with its coil whine, I think it's time I replace it since Gigabytes RMA process is being a pain in the butt. What's a good, and decently priced, Z68 motherboard? Maybe something around $100 to $120ish.
Just get a Z77 board, more selection, newer, and more features for mostly the same price. MSI Z77-G45 is a good board around $120 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130645. since nobody ever helps on the headphone thread, does anyone have suggestions for a decent (out of canal) set of earbuds?
Anyone wanna recommend me some components for Foobar2k?
since nobody ever helps on the headphone thread, does anyone have suggestions for a decent (out of canal) set of earbuds?
No, because there aren't any. Also, if you want people to help you with headphones, perhaps you should follow the same template that everyone else does. No-one can suggest you a pair of earbuds when you don't give a budget at the very minimum, preferably more information about what music you listen to. Complaining about no help is fuck all use when it's your own fault you didn't get any help. [editline]18th March 2013[/editline] Wondered how long the box would take.

Just plug the drives in and you're done. SATA3 vs SATA2 won't change shit, and if you want to RAID beyond these 2/6 ports you can just use software RAID.

Though, if "there aren't any" would using the template actually do any good?
whats wrong with in ear earbuds? i used to hate them cos they went in your ears and everything but i got a decent pair and realised they top regular earphones in just about every way. id say they are better than headphones but ive never listend to a decent pair of those.
whats wrong with in ear earbuds? i used to hate them cos they went in your ears and everything but i got a decent pair and realised they top regular earphones in just about every way. id say they are better than headphones but ive never listend to a decent pair of those.
IMO earbuds are either too thin or too bass. That and it doesn't really insulate and I don't seem to get just about the right quality.. But then again, looking at me and my brothers - we all use optical audio and receivers :v It's really nice watching video's with surround sound though =P (No, not shitty already done stuff, I mean $1k receiver - $900 subwoofer etc)
too thin, you mean not bassy enough? what do you mean insulate? i dont know anything about headphones sorry. in ear phones really need to sit well in your ear cannals to sound the best. i only said that about headphones cos my friend has a set of turtle beaches and they are just awful, my earbuds top it in bass its embarrasing.
in ear earbuds are less comfortable, imo. I can probably get used to them i guess, what do you use?

As for why non-canal earbuds are bad - isolation is considerably worse. bass response is considerably worse. sound-stage is usually incredibly washed out. There's a reason why you won't find any earbuds over around $30 that don't use in-canal tips.

So I have to decide whether I want to: A. Have 6 400GB drives B. Have 3 1TB drives And in what configuration (1,5, etc) I want them in. Edit: Probably going to stick with 3 1TB in RAID 5.
huh So I can use this with my 2500k? Good to know.
Yes. Yes you can.
huh So I can use this with my 2500k? Good to know.
Yeah it will work fine. I'm using my SB i3 in the Z77 Extreme4, if it were the other way around then there might be problems though. A lot of Sandy Bridge chipset boards still ship with the old BIOS, so even though the socket is compatible with an Ivy Bridge CPU, putting one in and attempting to turn it on would do nothing. You'd have to update the BIOS by using a SB processor and then after you update it switch back to your IB chip. Kinda stupid imo.

So I just updated Samsung SSD Magician and its's telling me that I don't have AHCI enabled [t]http://i2.minus.com/iVQ7XMQbez3y4.png[/t] It is on in the bios and said it was on in the previous version, could it be a bug or by the Marvell controller that's in my motherboard? Also I did the OS optimization with the new version and it raised my sequential read/wright a little bit (may just be a coincident) Edit: Its an Samsung 830 128gb SSD by the way
is the samsung galaxy express a decent enough smartphone? I'd just like to browse the web, youtube and text really. and android seems like a nicely capable os.
