Is it possible to buy windows 7 keys online? I have an oem disk and I want to install it onto a clean hard drive for a new computer but I already used the key on my first build. Alternatively, would I be better off just buying windows 8?

If I have a GTX 770, which CPU should I be looking at if I don't want it to be a bottleneck? I play games like Planetside 2 and BF4. My current CPU is a Core 2 Quad Q9550.
Is this hypothetical? What mobo/socket do you have?
My mobo's an Asus P5Q3. I do have the GTX 770 and my CPU is my current bottleneck. I want a CPU that can keep up with my GPU, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.

If I were you I'd save up and get a new mobo and CPU together, no CPU from that range is worth buying nowadays.
My CPU (an Intel Core i7 930 at 2.8GHz) has an average temperature of about 60c when just using Chrome. Is this a bad thing? And if it is, how can I fix it? I've never really gone snooping around inside my computer (I've had it for 3+ years, methinks), the most I've done is dust off some vents on the front about once a month or so. If I need to go in and take a can of compressed air to it, I may need to have a professional (or just someone who knows what they're doing) opinion and advice on popping this computer open. [editline]10th January 2014[/editline] I just tried to open Skype and it shot up to 90c and won't go back down. Holy shit. Restarting computer. [editline]10th January 2014[/editline] Alright, I'm on my iPad right now, giving my computer some time to cool down. It's never done this before. I don't know what cooling system I have, but it sounds like I've got nothing more than just fans.
That's definitely on the hot side. Taking the side off and spraying everything with compressed air is a fairly foolproof thing that could improve it, so start with that.
My friend has a older Pentium Core Duo computer, which has a 32 bit Windows 7 copy installed. The thing is, he wants to play this Minecraft mod called Feed the Beast, but due to the fact that his OS is 32 bit on a 64 bit system, the RAM usage is limited to 1 GB, which is just not enough for the game to run. He's got a lot of files and doesn't want to lose them. So is performing a upgrade from 32 bit to 64 safe?
Make sure everything he actually wants to keep is either in "C:\Program Files" or "C:\Users" (or ideally on another partition entirely), then just tell Windows to install to the old C:\ drive without reformatting.

I'm curious do I really need two computers for the reason that I do? So, I have one computer dominantly for gaming. It was a pre-built I bought about a year ago, and then just recently I built a computer for modelling/editing, and programming. Do you guys think it's really necessary to have two separate machines for this? I was just curious.
Don't complex models and things need a long time to render? You could keep your other machine running in order to play things while it's running.
So, you'd say having the two machines is a good idea? Sorry, I didn't really understand the last sentence.
While one computer is spending hours rendering, you can play games on your gaming computer.
Oh, yeah, true. But like besides the fact of time consuption, I meant like hardware wise, like would I really need two separate machines to do all of those things, or could doing it all on one be easily accomplished?

I'd have 2 computers for that. Or render overnight unless it's going to take longer.
How do you eject a flash drive from a car radio safely?
How do you eject a flash drive from a car radio safely?
You cannot. Car radios normally don't write to the flashdrive anyway, so there is no point of doing so either
My 2010 Acer Aspire won't turn on, whether if it's running on battery or hooked up to the wall. This is a vague question, so I'd expect vague answers. What's usually the reason for a problem like this?
Dead motherboard (Specially the power circuits) is usually the reason if there is no life (No Leds, beeps or any reaction to power)
Assuming the warranty on it is probably dead by now, do you think it would be economical to get it fixed, or should I just buy a new laptop?
Assuming the warranty on it is probably dead by now, do you think it would be economical to get it fixed, or should I just buy a new laptop?
Assuming if the motherboard is dead then it would be much more simple, and probleary cost less just to buy an new laptop. The motherboard in an laptop is specially designed to fit just that model, I'm not sure if you could even get an replacement anywhere. Often the only way to fix it is if the damage is small, and if you are really handy with soldering and electrical engineering.
where's the best way to get a non-OEM copy of windows 7 now? OEM copies are like $100, while deals on non-OEM copies are like $300.
Okay what the hell just happened with my Google Chrome.. So, you know when you open a blank page, you get these 8 most visited websites, for easy access? but NOW when I open a blank page, it's actually blank. I can't see the recent pages anymore.. This is so weird. help. [editline]14th January 2014[/editline] okay scratch that, now they're back.. for some reason

How do you install / move the OS onto a new SSD?
Blue screened my PC while trying to OC my GPU, everything restarts fine but All Japanese text now shows as boxes.
Have you changed the system locale to Japanese? Control Panel -> Clock, Language, and Region -> Language -> Change date, time, or number formats -> Administrative -> Change System Locale...
