Is there a significant performance difference between 1gb of 1600mhz RAM or 1gb of 1800mhz RAM? Or is it in a given quantity of the two that the difference is more noticeable?

What's a good, free, non questionableware software to convert webm video to mp3?
The difference would be negligible.
Unless you're running an integrated GPU, then you might see a >5 fps gain in some games if you're lucky..

Most memory-bandwidth-heavy stuff is done on the GPU now (since it has far, far more bandwidth), so the only common case where memory performance matters is when using an integrated GPU. Anandtech did some very detailed investigation, and they concluded that 1833MHz is the best price/performance point. However, when you look at their CPU and single dGPU results, there's basically no difference between 3000MHz and 1333MHz. It's only when using integrated graphics, or multiple GPUs, that it seems to make any difference. If it were me, I might pay an extra $10 or so for 1833MHz over 1600MHz, but if the price difference is real I wouldn't bother with anything over 1600MHz.
Also doesnt the CAS and Timings go up once you start getting above 1866 unless you pay a fortune, my knowledge of ram is little so I don't know if those matter as much when you're hitting 2000MHz+
CAS timings are a really horrible way to measure the actual latency, because it would go up anyways while increasing the bandwidth because it's the ratio of bandwidth to latency. It would be better if it was expressed in nanoseconds. For example, CL6 DDR3-1333 and CL9 DDR3-2000 both have 9ns of latency. Even if you pay a fortune you can't get CL6 DDR3-2400, because it can't physically operate that fast.
What is the best program/website to download youtube videos or MP3's?
What would you guys say would be the best korean 2560x1440 IPS monitor right now?
What is the best program/website to download youtube videos or MP3's?
http://www.youtube-mp3.org/ is quite good
http://www.youtube-mp3.org/ is quite good
and also keepvid.com is good for dling videos
and also keepvid.com is good for dling videos
I use the one build in the Youtube Center userscript I used to have a plugin for Firefox that could bulk download videos, but I can't find it anymore.
and also keepvid.com is good for dling videos
I used to use keepvid but it used to only save in FLV, does it save in normal codecs now?
Guys is there any non-suspicious free driver software? Doesn't even have to be automated.
I avoid them like the plague but I have one friend that swears by DriverGenius, it's not malware at least.
I avoid them like the plague but I have one friend that swears by DriverGenius, it's not malware at least.
I know, I never thought I'd find myself asking to be honest, but this laptop is kind of old, and HP don't seem to acknowledge the specific model (dv6700ea) and I just cannot find drivers for certain things. Specifically a Nvidia nForce network adapter.
Usually just googling the model name and searching for drivers is enough, HP may have them available.
I recorded some stuff with Dxtory and it's got sound if I play it on my Windows PC but not in iMovie or FCPX on my Mac. Quicktime gets audio though (after converting) but yeah, not when I want to edit it. Anybody have an idea of why?
i just got my 760 today and there's a sticker on it and that says removing it voids the warranty what's the deal with that? i've never seen something like that on any computer part before, do i leave the sticker on or what?
i just got my 760 today and there's a sticker on it and that says removing it voids the warranty
It's usually covering a screw or gap with the intention of you having to break the sticker to take it apart
It's usually covering a screw or gap with the intention of you having to break the sticker to take it apart
im fairly certain it's covering the cooler, which i have no plans to replace or modify, will leaving the sticker on be ok?

Does anybody here have a BenQ XL2411T? If so would you mind measuring its height for me? I want to know what its minimum total height is with the stand (i.e when it is pushed all the way down), so I can tell if it will fit on my desk (desk has a shelf on it that it needs to fit under). I can't seem to find a definite answer anywhere.
If I wanted to burn Ubuntu to a disc, what type of blank disc do I buy? CD or DVD or DVD Rom or Video or what?
Does anyone know of a program like Sticky Notes for Windows 7 / 8 but actually saves the notes as well? Wasn't at work for a day and whoever used my PC closed down my notes and they have disappeared
If I wanted to burn Ubuntu to a disc, what type of blank disc do I buy? CD or DVD or DVD Rom or Video or what?
Just use an regular empty DVD plate, any DVD would work
-snip, missed the entire subforum dedicated to my question-
Something to use to spread thermal paste?
