Something to use to spread thermal paste?
old credit card or business card? Otherwise, just place a small bit in the centre and let it spread naturally.
Is there any way to get rid of the featured video you see at the top of the videos to the right and in the end of videos in the largest tile on youtube? Every featured video I see is from this girl who has obviously gone for the nerdy girl look with a channel called geekingoutshow and I'm just so tired of seeing this channel and this girl. It is, for whatever reason, driving me mad. Also I have magic lantern and chrome. I remember another extension being mentioned that was really good for youtube but can't remember what that was.
Does anyone happen to know what causes video errors like this one? And if it's possible to recreate by yourself?
Maybe not on a PC, but if you're recording from a TV, running a microwave tends to botch the picture exactly like that. Our TV signal's not the greatest ever since the switch to digital from analogue.

Anyone have any idea why my networks sidebar thing on W8 is cut off at the top? My computer: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/13781308/ShareX/2014-02/2014-02-09_14-32-16.png[/t] What it should (and used to) look like: [t]http://www.windowsnetworking.com/img/upl/image0011339100812559.jpg[/t]
Probably just a glitch Microsoft haven't fixed? Can't see why it would happen otherwise
Hey do any of you guys know of a grease monkey script that will make FP not so retina destroying?
Hey could anybody have a look at this build I did for a friend and let me know if I should change anything? Ideally make it cheaper while keeping the gaming performance. Thanks http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/1xk1rj/build_help_putting_together_a_friends_pc_anything/
You can't put an intel CPU into a mobo with an AMD socket.
Whoops ha. Do you have a recommendation of another board?
Whoops ha. Do you have a recommendation of another board?
You could probably go with this: http://www.dabs.ie/products/gigabyte-z77x-d3h-s1155-intel-z77-ddr3-atx-8006.html?refs=469740000-50509&src=3 Its similarly priced and specced, and I didn't know if you had some predisposition towards Gigabyte so theres that too. A few differences is that this one has 4 SATA 6Gbps and 2 3Gbps, while the AMD board had 6, but I doubt you'll be using all your SATA ports in the build. The Intel board has 6 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 slots on the back I/O, while the AMD had 8 2.0 and 2 3.0 slots. The last bit is that the Intel board has a PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot, which should be a bit better output since it seems you don't have an SLI planned. In the future if you were to go SLI it wouldn't work as well since the other slots don't run at such higher speed as the first one, but the difference is fairly negligible. The AMD board is PCI Express 2.0 only, but has two that run at x16 speed. Other than that, theres not really a big difference between the two.
Cheers man thanks for that. Yeah I don't think my friend will bother going SLI in the future. He literally wants to build a PC that will be future proofed for the next while. So do you think that build will be okay with the card you suggested or is there anything I should change?
Should I update my nvidia driver with the most recent official driver or should I go back to the latest driver from my laptop provider(Which is from november)?
Cheers man thanks for that. Yeah I don't think my friend will bother going SLI in the future. He literally wants to build a PC that will be future proofed for the next while. It'd probably be about ~15-20% more performance, for about a little over 100 euros more. It'd be more future-proof but if you guys are gonna get it, get it soon before they run out. The Titan and regular 780 have ceased production I think http://www.dabs.ie/products/msi-geforce-gtx-780-902mhz-3gb-pci-express-3-0-hdmi-twin-frozr-oc-8VF5.html?q=gtx%20780&src=16 [editline]10th February 2014[/editline]
Should I update my nvidia driver with the most recent official driver or should I go back to the latest driver from my laptop provider(Which is from november)?
Most recent official
Most recent official
alright thank you

I've been using a 560Ti for the past year or two and it works well enough. A 770 would blow it out of the water, so just get whatever you feel comfortable with
All youtube videos wont work unless I manually put "https://" before the URL, if I put the same on FP the videos don't appear at all. Been googling around and nothing really helps.
What browser extensions do you have?
I bet you this has been asked a million times. But I'm a bit out of the game. What are the best CPU coolers these days? Still rolling on a 1366 also.
What browser extensions do you have?
Adblock. [editline]11th February 2014[/editline] Ok nevermind, it magically fixed itself.
So using the build I posted before, would I be better getting this CPU http://www.dabs.ie/products/intel-core-i5-4570-s1150-3-2ghz-6mb-haswell-quad-core-processor-8NFW.html?q=4570&src=16
I bet you this has been asked a million times. But I'm a bit out of the game. What are the best CPU coolers these days? Dark Rock Pro 2 if you're going balls to the wall with cooling/overclocking.
For anyone with a PS 3d TV, do you know if its possible to set the glasses in simulview with a game or w/e that doesn't support it? As in set both frames in the glasses to focus on half of the frames on the TV, while another pair of glasses have both frames looking at the other half of frames. I want to play some split screen games on my PC/PS3 that don't support simulview, and I have yet to see if it's possible to manually (without modifying the glasses itself) set the glasses in that mode.
So using the build I posted before, would I be better getting this CPU http://www.dabs.ie/products/intel-core-i5-4570-s1150-3-2ghz-6mb-haswell-quad-core-processor-8NFW.html?q=4570&src=16
No, fucks up the motherboard I found, that processor is not unlocked for overclocking, and you'd need a new motherboard which would just be more expensive. Lastly Haswell doesn't have any real benefits over Ivy Bridge for the desktop market. It just really isn't worth it imo.

Id rather have the NH-D14 anyway
I hate to be that guy, but the beige brown really doesn't work for pc internals, despite normally being a fan of that combo. And considering I have a window and my computer's sitting on my desk, it would look weird for a huge beige and brown turd amidst a sea of black and blue led's. So... does it come in black?
