To everyone answering me, thanks. I meant 1440p, sorry, and I'm only intending to use the main screen for gaming and free-sync (2x dvi-d + 1 display port) I'm going to buy a mini ITX board, so I can't have more than one GPU. While talking about MBs, is there any recommended MBs for 2500k? and is the 2500k too weak in your opinion? I'm assuming the CPU have little input for displaying three screens. Looking at Asrock 1155 ASRock Z77E-ITX, since it's one of the few 1155 socket mITX boards available in Norway Huge thanks :) And I didn't mean to be rude woolio, sorry.
Simply running multiple monitors is easy - I've run quad-monitors (1440p + 2x1080p + 1280x1024) off a friggen 660M. Gaming at 1440p is more difficult. I run a 1440p screen off a 6870. The most recent game I recall being able to max out is UT3. Crysis runs around medium-high, and Skyrim runs at mostly-high (VRAM keeps me from using max textures). I've not played any of the recent system-killers like BF4 or Crysis 3, but I'd expect them to run around medium. You aren't going to get a silent card that can run games at this resolution. For 1440p, Anandtech recommends either a 280X, 290, 780, or 780 Ti. If you want quiet, I'd go for a 780 or maybe a 770, if you're willing to sacrifice on quality a bit for noise/price reasons. You are correct that running multiple monitors normally doesn't really matter for multi-screen. However, I've heard of people using the integrated graphics for their non-gaming monitors, using the discrete GPU exclusively for the gaming monitor. I've not done that, so perhaps someone else can advise you on this.
"My trashcan is taken up by last weeks trash, should I get a new trashcan?" Windows updates shouldn't permanently take up space, they download temp installer files that should be removed, if they're not you can use CCleaner to remove them. Steam redist files can be deleted manually too
http://tikione.fr/steamcleaner/en/ This program is great for cleaning out your steam crap
I'm switching ISPs to Time Warner. I'm going to need a new modem. Also, is it hard to setup your network yourself? Setting it up yourself is an option.
I'm switching ISPs to Time Warner. I'm going to need a new modem. Also, is it hard to setup your network yourself? Setting it up yourself is an option.
Its probably: Plug in new modem. Call Time Warner. Tell them the MAC address at the bottom of modem. They activate it and you're on your own. You will want to check the list of modems Time Warner supports. I've heard good things about Motorola Surfboards.
I am quite close to my wireless router, but I still get 1-2 bars of internet signal, I am sure something is causing that, because from that distance my iPad has max signal of internet. Is there something that could cause that?
Try a wired connection.
I don't think he meant internet signal literally, there usually isn't any bar diagramm to show internet speed.
I don't think he meant internet signal literally, there usually isn't any bar diagramm to show internet speed.
Well, I meant this: Also I can't setup a wired connection because I don't want to have my PC at the middle of the damn living room. And I cant move my wireless router here because it's a modem and then my brother wouldnt have any more internet signal in his room anymore.

What is a good wireless mouse for gaming?
What is a good wireless mouse for gaming?
None.
None.
That's a bit harsh, you could at least tell him his options, like DoesnTeXist from NoLag Studios or Wi-Red mOuSe by Raser

If it's brand new/guaranteed working I guess it'll last you about a year with some decent usage.

I might be totally wrong.
I have a TN monitor right now, and I want some thing without the white glow on the edges and maybe with deeper blacks in general. Do IPS panels have brighter or deeper blacks than TN panels?
I have a TN monitor right now, and I want some thing without the white glow on the edges and maybe with deeper blacks in general. I have an Acer S201HL right now and I most everything about it, however I noticed during a dark scene in a TV show that the edges are brighter and things were hard to distinguish (might be the video compression, or that I keep the brightness on 0), and I have wanted a 1080p monitor for awhile now. I'm looking at this AOC i2267Fw for $120: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160167

That looks much better. There are some Crucials and Mushkins that are even cheaper. Thoughts on those? Also does anyone know what the real performance difference is for a hybrid drive? I have a first gen raptor. Would a 1TB/8GB hybrid drive show significant gains in loading times for games, for instance?
why the hell can't i connect to an ip on my home network that has 0 firewalls but can fine on my mobile? everyone else is fine
One of the fans just died on my 770's acx cooler, and I'm pretty sure of it since the other one is spinning fast as fuck and the "dead" one isn't moving at all. Does anyone know the name/product number of the fans EVGA uses with their acx cooler for the 770? So far I haven't found any of the same fans evga uses on the cooler on ebay I have no idea whether i should RMA it for something easy to fix or not
Reporting here, I'm completely stuck and my desktop is completely FUBAR
So yeah, my desktop has completely shat itself. The keyboard no longer works past bios screen, my mouse now moves up and down when I move right and left in the bios(and vice versa), and the monitor receives no signal past the BIOS screen as well. Tried system restore to no avail also, completely lost now.
How can I make Windows properly shut down so that my Linux partition can read a NTFS formatted drive? Or would it be better if I used another file system, if so, what would be good to store music with?

If you're storing the music on linux use ext4
