Is it able to support a lot of devices?

http://www.amazon.com/Medialink-Wireless-Broadband-802-11n-Internal/dp/B0044YU60M/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1364256358&sr=1-1&keywords=medialink+router
literally the best and cheapest router ever
currently I have 16 devices using it and it's working perfect. Look at all them favorable 5 star reviews. 5000 reviews at that.
WRT54G is a good solid router, sadly it's old and only allows 54Mbit.
I have a Linksys E4200 at home. Aaand I would say it gets some pressure. We have ~10 connected units, where only two are wired. Sometimes we have more on it. It runs with ease. My server also runs some VPN so if I wanted to I could connect to home so it also takes some more IP addresses.
I have 40/40mbit fiber, I get 50/50 and some times almost 70mbit. My router handles it perfectly. I even had a problem with lightning which broke some stuff, so I kind of fear that has made the components get slightly hotter - might just be me though. It can feel a bit warm, but it runs like it should.
EDIT: Oh, and the router has 5ghz so your macbook can have it's own little party.
EDIT2: Yeah, it's a bit pricey, but why the fuck would you skip on something that all your devices use anyways?!
telling someone to buy a 6 year old router is nonsense. stop.

What? E4200 is only from like 2011 or something.
How many 6 year old routers do you know that have 802.11a?

we get it your router is the best because you use it
(get an rt-n56u)
The WRT54GL was a good router at the time, though it's really old and overpriced these days.

Overpriced is misleading. They are getting rare, they're excellent devices that are very stable, and they're compatible with almost every router OS out there.
When you consider how much crap has been coming out recently for the home router market (getting better now, but still) I can totally understand as a network admin someone wanting to spend more money on a device that is known to work well and that has been field tested for years.
Not saying everyone should rush and buy GLs though - there are some good, newer options out there.
anyone have any idea how i can move a partition without using gparted? i don't have any bootable devices to put it on.
[editline]28th March 2013[/editline]
addendum: could i use an ipod shuffle as a bootable USB for gparted?
I'm looking to spend around £1200-1600 on a new gaming PC, I want a prebuilt one and I'm not sure where to look. I'd preferably want a GTX 670 or up and a decent amount of RAM. Or if anyone can suggest a decent website that I could pick through it would be a great help.
anyone have any idea how i can move a partition without using gparted? i don't have any bootable devices to put it on.
Start (or Win+R), diskmgmt.msc
that might be able to do it
addendum: could i use an ipod shuffle as a bootable USB for gparted?
You'd have to set it so USB devices take priority over optical drives (because otherwise it'll get stuck trying to boot off the "CD drive" in the iPod), and you might make the iPod not work as an iPod until you restored it through iTunes later, but it could work maybe
Hello!
I have the P8Z68-V pro gen3 mobo, and up to some time ago, the audio jacks were working perfectly. I didn't really use them much, because I have a USB headset, and I play audio through HDMI when I actually do use speakers. But I want to use the line in jack, so I can hear my playstation through my headset. But all I get out of all the jacks is a really high pitch tone, and no audio what so ever, except that super annoying high pitch tone. The motherboard recognizes when I plug jacks into the jack, but won't actually play anything through, or let anything play into it.
I've tried reinstalling drivers, updating my motherboard, different versions of the same driver, etc.
Any solutions?
It's hard for me to tell by reading the specs and websites and reviews, so I'm asking here.
What ultrabay card does the IdeaPad Y500 come with?
Can I get a suggestion on a video card for ~$130?

According to Amazon, all sub-models include a second GT 650M card. Interestingly, Lenovo's own site makes no mention of "dual" cards or a second card being included (they imply that it's expandable on the PDF datasheet, but never indicate whether expandable means you have to buy something separately.)

I'd choose that over the 650 Ti only for Far Cry 3, the cards themselves are pretty equal in performance but the 650 Ti has a slight edge.

Im a little on the fence here. This site says the 650 is better.

Yeah I edited my post, I didn't know the 650 Ti was better, but it's up to you whether it's worth the $30 price difference after rebate. I think you should save up ~$160 for a 7850 though, it's a lot better than the low end cards.
[editline]28th March 2013[/editline]
oh wow the price of a 7850 has gone up recently, now it's $180 for a 1gb version. damn, used to be like $170 for the 2gb.

Probably just gonna save up, I think it will be worth it in the long run, I suppose.
I'm gonna buy a calculator watch for my brother because he's been wanting a watch for awhile now and because calculator watches bring all the ladies. Do any of you guys own one?
I'm planning on getting a Casio watch off of amazon for about $15.
this one specifically,

That looks extremely useful, albeit nerdy as fuck.

if you're moving your budget up to around the 7850's price you should get a 650 Ti Boost, it's better than the 7850 in a slight majority of games and costs less than the cheapest 2 GB 7850
So i was looking for monitors to buy, i've always wanted to have a triple screen setup. I'm looking into getting two 24' monitors and i have narrowed it down to these two so far

From what i can tell the two of them have the same specs, but AOC is 30 bucks cheaper. My only issue is, i've never heard of AOC, LG i know of and kinda trust since that's what my room mate uses and they look pretty good. So what do you guys think?
Don't know what I did, but text looks like this on Facepunch.

I'm guessing it's me since nobody is bitching about a FP change. How do I fix this?
I'm considering getting a razer blackwidow keyboard for my bf, since he has wanted a good mechanical keyboard for ages and everyone keeps buying him semi-crap average keyboards.
Before I commit into that for good are there any other good mechanical keyboards anyone knows about for the same price (100 bucks canadian) or less?
http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_273_274&item_id=052270 cheapest place I could find a Trigger, Razer keyboards aren't great quality. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823129008 and http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823129012 as well, not sure how Canada Computers is so if you'd be more comfortable buying from Newegg then get either of these. TK is fully backlit while the Pro is only partially backlit.

Have you used any of these to know how they are quality wise? I haven't used a razer either so just wondering
Razer do have the convenience of being sold in a local store which has some of the best warranties on whatever it sells though.

They're all great quality, I've owned a QuickFire Pro myself, my brother got the Trigger I recommended for him and he loves it. Haven't yet used a TK since it's fairly new but I've heard great things about it, and for being a small form factor board it has a lot of features.
I swear I don't work for Cooler Master.

Great thanks! I'll run those by him :v:
