Hey, probably a weird question, but I'm feeling kind of paranoid due to my ignorance.
So I bought one of these and before I start using it I'm curious if it's transmission capabilities can harm nearby electronics and if while transmitting, could interfere with microphones and other such audio equipment.
Is there a laptop with a good, deep keyboard that kinda feels like MX browns?
My school Macbook's keys feel like ass and I still don't own a laptop.
Thinkpad of some sort with an i5 maybe?

My T420's keys feel nice and deep compared to 90% of laptops out there. The only other ones I've liked more are some of the new E-Series, but those trackpads are awful.

Very well could, since it doesn't seem to be FCC certified. Seems that most people don't have an issue with that though, although one reviewer did note that it has some harmonic issues (emits a signal way out of its rated range).
I think the bigger issue is that if you live in an urban or suburban area, that thing has an extremely far range, even under low power according to reviewers. Which is not exactly legal without an operating license in the US (the legal limit is 60 meters).
http://www.fcc.gov/guides/low-power-broadcast-radio-stations#UNLICENSED
You may want to consider buying an attenuator to reduce that range (your probably safe as long as the signal doesn't really leave your property) and definitely do not set it on or near existing radio frequencies. You do not want the FCC to come knocking at your door. The reviewer mentioned the attenuator being rated for 10 dB and that brought the signal down to 2 blocks with a really good antenna and a few hundred feet using a portable radio. You may want something even more powerful, like 15 dB.

idk i just want to boost the signal

Thank you. This "thinner is better" shit is ruining things.

I want someone to invent mechanical chiclet keyboards already.
Gonna ask here first. My girlfriend needs a new laptop on the semi-cheap. She is a graphic designer that does semi-intensive editing and stuff. I'm an elitist that refuses to have a total heap of shit, but laptops are total heaps of shit so.
What I'm asking is- what's my best option in the $400-700 price range that will have sufficient video memory for her editing software and at least enough juice to run source games. Mostly focusing on the GPU here. Needs to be 1080 screen as well. Little wiggle room on the price, but definitely nothing over 800.

This might fit the bill. I'm not a very keen eyed shopper.
Anyone heard of this 'Symbols' release?
I can't seem to find out what it is

I'm pretty sure they're for debugging
I have an i7-2600 and an ASRock Z77 mobo. Will I need a better cpu and motherboard for sli?
I have an i7-2600 and an ASRock Z77 mobo. Will I need a better cpu and motherboard for sli?
The hardware itself is fine, but you should check and make sure your motherboard and your PSU are SLI certified. I'm pretty sure Nvidia used to restrict (and probably still does) what motherboards and power supplies you can use for SLI, and it might not work if it doesn't have their little seal of approval.
I, too, have an ASRock Mobo, but it's the P67 Extreme4 Gen3.
It's SLI-certified. Most ASRock gaming boards are.

So, I got an Apple G4 Cube the other day, and I'm thinking I want to get it up and running with some sort of mITX HTPC. Maybe some light gaming too, if the price doesn't balloon. Any suggestions on cheap but decent innards that I can shove into it? I guess there are bonus points if it's hackintoshable, although it isn't necessary.
Would it be beneficial to OC my i7 4770k to 4.0GHz or 4.2?
I don't wanna go too high, but I need FPS improvement in some games.
I have a Corsair H100i cooler.

This monitor does not exist/not even plugged in...
I don't understand really, it's making me have a second cursor

You should be able to get that no problem, and I saw an improvement. It depends on the game though. I mainly played GW2 and Planetside 2 back when I gamed, which are both very CPU heavy games. I had my OC sitting at 4.5 on my 4670k when I had my 212 EVO, could push 4.6 if I wanted to, so you should be fine with your H100i. Can't push above 4.7 with mine until I delid once I get a 240mm rad to add to my loop.
I was wondering if anyone could help me.
I recently took my PC in to be repaired, (both hardware and software repairs.) The hardware repairs were fine as all i needed was a new psu. On the software side I kept on getting 'failed to connect to a windows service,' Turns out it was a virus causing these issues. He said it was fixed but when I booted it up the virus was still on there.
Im stuck on what to do. I have a shadow copy backup a month back so I was wondering if I should just format my PC, deleting everything and then using the backup to restore it to a good state. Would this eliminate the virus/issues?

Only if you're sure that the shadow copy doesn't have the virus either. It would be rather pointless to revert your system to an earlier state if the virus is still present.
what could be the problem when the bios/post/text screens are low res and blurry compared to normal, I get "no signal" when booting into windows, Linux refuses to start its display manager and the Bios options is inaccessible due to graphical glitches and it complaining about an invalid bin file? did my motherboard somehow get bricked? all clock speeds are stock, no overclocking on any components. cpu is a 4670k, mobo is a z97 mpower and the gpu is a 780ti

My brother was using my PC a week ago, and thats when I noticed my Pc was acting all fucked up. So the shadow copy should be completely clear of any viruses seeing that it was backed up months ago.
In short, It was running completely fine until my brother used it.

and now it suddenly works without issue again. stuff like this doesn't happen just like that though, any idea what may have happened?

If there's no way for you to fix it on your own (antivirus programs, malware removers, etc.), then yes, use your backup copy.

Try pressing Win+P and choosing "Pc screen only"
Hey guys I was hoping some one could help me with this:

I'm not quite sure what is causing the large black area but it appears if I record with Dxtory or with Fraps. Dxtory's in game frame/fps doesnt appear either, but it does for fraps. Are there any changes I can make within my recording software in order to stop this? if not, are there any seperate programs to cut out the black area?

Ended up uninstalling (and not removing) my Intel graphics drivers
I'm having problems with KB2919355 (AKA Windows 8.1 Update 1) - I can't get it to install, and I've googled around quite a bit to find that a lot of people had issues with this update.
Here's my error code

I'd also like to say, I've got reports of the update succeeding in my update history too.

It supposedly installs, the PC reboots, then I get "Failed to configure Windows Updates, Undoing." at the login screen.
Does anyone have a solid, working solution to this issue?
I'm trying to find a 32 bit linux based OS for my Dell Poweredge 2650 that a friend gave to me. Any ideas? Ubuntu only comes in 64 bit

Try Debian. 32 bit with PAE support. They love their legacy platforms. And its going to be similar to Ubuntu in terms of layout (Ubuntu is Debian based after all).
Is 720 PSU enough to power two GTX 780's? I don't plan to OC them and I do have my CPU OC from 3.3ghz to 4.5ghz.
