Is 720 PSU enough to power two GTX 780's? I don't plan to OC them and I do have my CPU OC from 3.3ghz to 4.5ghz.
I expect it would be. TDP for those cards is 250W each, so that leaves 220W for the entire rest of your system, which is pretty reasonable. It won't leave you a lot of headroom for OC/expansions, but from the sound of it, you're already using a PSU you already have, no point in upgrading it until you actually need to.
What do people use to get VHS tapes on to PCs? I've been looking around a little bit, but I'm unsure. I don't give a shit about making DVDs, that's one thing (hell, I could even attempt to see if using OBS would work as software for capture). [del]If the new Flagdog doesn't work for whatever reason (I don't think that it's broke in quite a while actually), I'm in Canada if it helps.[/del] I would prefer to stay away from eBay if at all possible.

Video capture cards or TV tuners with composite video inputs connected to a VCR. I personally have a Hauppage HVR-1150 TV tuner. It has Composite and S-Video inputs and stereo audio inputs which is almost overkill for VHS. The NTSC tuner would also work if you wanted to use RF.
Only thing is that the video signal needs to be pretty stable (no tracking or deterioration issues). If the VHS has deteriorated enough, you won't get any video.
The VCR that I still have hasn't been powered on in a while, but the last time it was, it was working fine from what I could tell.
I should've also mentioned that I'd like an external solution that I can plug in and unplug as needed - AKA nothing that'll require me to pop open my case, as there's literally no back room for a VCR. My fault.

You mean room for the card or the VCR? If you mean VCR, you can always run longer cables. Its not like RCA cables are in short supply. :v:
USB video capture devices do exist and for standard definition, they will probably be acceptable. The real downside of USB is that its more sensitive to CPU usage (frames dropping and require more CPU for encoding usually). Probably not a big deal anymore with modern CPU's though. I haven't used one since the Dazzle back in 2008, so things have probably changed.
I have a 3570K - shouldn't be an issue.
Firefox has this thing where you can middle click the top bar to open a new tab, is that possible to enable in Chromium?
To follow up on the VHS > PC thing...this thing seems like the best one I could find: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815100096
Haven't seen anything about it not working with software that isn't the bundled software. Again, I don't give a shit about making DVDs (the bundled software will probably just collect dust), and I intend on using OBS as capture software for full control. Thoughts/warnings before I pull the trigger?

As long as it doesn't use any weird proprietary interface it should be good. Just about every capture device I've used allows the input to be used a standard video device.
I need a router for my phone and 3DS. What do I want to go with? I'd prefer something that would be available at a local store so I don't have to wait for delivery.

we'd need to know what your local has.
we'd need to know what your local has.
How could I get that information?
How could I get that information?
You'd have to call them or look at their website or something to see what models they have? We have no way of knowing what's in stock near you. There aren't just like 5 routers that all stores carry.
Has there been any word that EVGA has/is planning to rectify the glaring flaws with their new ACX coolers for the GTX 900 series? And if they've already done it, is there photo proof that all three copper heatpipes are now fully aligned with the graphics chip (and maybe some benchmarks showing off the new temperatures in certain games/situations)?
Steelseries Apex Raw, yes or no?
Steelseries Apex Raw, yes or no?
It uses dome keys, so I wouldn't get it.
CM Storm Quickfire XT?
Its a mechanical, so it looks fine.
CM Storm Quickfire XT?
Their keyboards are known to have great build quality at a pretty good price, so go for it.

just not one of those plasticy razer keyboards
just not one of those plasticy razer keyboards
plastic doesn't equal bad. Though yeah, many razer products are of questionable quality.
I've had a Blackwidow for a couple years now, still going strong. Friend's got a pair of their headphones and a Naga, loves them both. I'm no great fan of Razer by any stretch (I prefer Logitech and SteelSeries, personally) but I think they get a disproportionate amount of flak compared to their actual quality.

I don't think that it's that their products necessarily break, but more that they cosmetically wear down? I've got a Lycosa keyboard and the non-slip rubber on the keys has worn off on quite a few of them to the point that I can't even tell what key it's supposed to be (except by location). Which makes it exceptionally difficult to clean the keyboard without a load of extra work. The keyboard works just fine. And the caps wearing off is a known issue (I'm pretty sure, I remember reading stuff about it on their website - maybe in the support section?) and they've specifically stated that they're not selling replacement caps.
I use a Blackwidow 2013 and Naga
Here's why I will never buy Razer again:
Having uneccessary popups appear every time I plug in a device (synapse) (No option to never ask again)
Not using that storage space to store macros
Having to accept the terms and conditions if you choose to install the software later
Remove configuration support for a product that is not even a year old
Synapse cannot be uninstalled from my laptop that ran windows XP
Support gave instructions to uninstall the software with windows Vista/7/8
After actually understanding my situation, they suggested to just delete the folder in Program Files [sp]What the fuck.[/sp]
Have a returns/warranty policy that is illegal in Australia (See Steam/ACCC fiasco - somewhat similiar)
Have a unconfigurable/undisableable keybind set to a commonly used keyboard shortcut
I'll keep the mouse since it has a numpad (and a hardware switch, not software), keyboard will be sold when I can

My Blackwidow is just smudgy, and seems to collect dirt like a magnet. Outside of that, all the stickers/screenprints on the keys are still there. It's held up better than my old Dell beater, although that thing's still kicking too.

Can't blame you for most of those, but I also only own one Razer peripheral.
I do have some questions, though.
Isn't the point of synapse so you don't have to have macros stored on the keyboard, since it's a cloud service?
What's wrong with having to accept the terms and conditions when you install software? That's pretty bog standard.
I'd say not being able to uninstall Synapse on XP is more a fault with your hardware or software than it is Razer, right? Have you tried something like RevoUninstaller?
Yeah, their support is really crap. But so is Valve's. Having bad customer support isn't the exception, it's the standard.
Most things have returns/warranties policies that are illegal in EU member states and most of the South Pacific regions. You guys have weird laws.
Not sure what shortcut you're talking about, care to elaborate?
The Naga's side buttons have to be some of the worst feeling things in the universe. I ended up getting a Deathadder 2013 over the Naga because I was a few bucks short at the time and it was a great time to be broke.

You need an account to use keyboard macros, WHY. Cloud sync is fine, but it can only be controlled through a terrible interface. Macros could be stored on the device, and additionally be synced though the internet.
You're not installing the software, not yet, even so you can cancel it, but you've already agreed to them
I shouldn't have to use a third party program to do something that is considered standard.
There was no uninstaller.
Valve only have bad support because automated replies. Razor have people that can't read.
Shortcut for Razor Voice
No matter what I set in my controlpanel, the little language symbol in my taskbar still has two keyboard layouts in (and seems to randomly switch between them, even though the normal shortcuts are disabled) anyone know how I can definitely fully 100% set it to just one layout and never the other?
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/gyHHL16.png[/thumb]
I cannot figure out why it randomly switches between the two, or where I can disable the US one from showing up

i don't know where it's getting a second language option from :downs:

How to fix:
Open language options (Modern Settings - search it)
Install a non english language you can read. Set as default
Remove English UK, Install English US
Remove English US, INstall English UK Set to default
Restart Computer
Computer is now in non-english
Start Key -> Type language
Double check English is default, optionally remove other language
Restart.
That should fix it being a permanent option, it still appears sometimes on my computer, but when I restart it's gone again

Such a rough solution, but that's pretty much what happened when I tried to fix it
Anyone know of an alternative to puush that works on linux?
