Shutter? Maybe dropbox works?
Is there a way to protect headphone cables from snapping/ breaking?
After consuming one headphone a year because of a fracture in the cable I wondered if these was some way to prevent it.
The headphone currently in question is the Sennheiser HD201, I ordered it today and as far as I can remember from a friend the cable isn't really thick.
You need an account to use keyboard macros, WHY. Cloud sync is fine, but it can only be controlled through a terrible interface. Macros could be stored on the device, and additionally be synced though the internet.
You're not installing the software, not yet, even so you can cancel it, but you've already agreed to them
I shouldn't have to use a third party program to do something that is considered standard.
There was no uninstaller.
Valve only have bad support because automated replies. Razor have people that can't read.

Ah, that explains it. Perfectly reasonable complaints, then.

If you mean around the plugs, then yeah. Take a ballpoint pen, take it apart, and get the little spring that's in it. Wrap that around the bit that normally fractures, and then take some heat-shrink tubing and put that over the spring.
It basically acts as a stress reliever to prevent 90 degree bends from the plug itself, so you shouldn't see too many more frayed wires.
Are there any guides/recommendation sites for laptops and stuff? There's 4chan's /g/ one and I've picked out a laptop that I want but I'm unsure if there's something better.

I think the Macbook Pro is generally recognized as one of the better laptops available, but I'd be interested to see what there is on the Windows side of things. As far as I'm aware, there isn't a lot that's worth anything until you get into the enterprise/business level laptops, although you can get some pretty powerful stuff through dedicated gaming companies like Alienware and Razer.

Uh, budget and purpose?
Anyways, thinkpads get a lot of love pretty much everywhere. Pretty much all of them are built well. Don't get the shit consumer laptops lenovo has though.
Dell and HP often get laughed at for their god-awful consumer laptops, but their business laptops are fantastic.
Make sure it has an intel processor btw, they're much better than AMD processors atm.

Mac laptops are great, though they're an apple product, so they're overpriced of course. Also depends on whether you like the operating system, you can install windows on mac computers, but at that point you might as well just buy a windows laptop straight out and get better hardware.

I wouldn't say Mac laptops are overpriced (HEAVY BIAS INCOMING), but they are expensive. They're also ridiculously durable and really well-built, and they've got the best keyboard and trackpad I've found in a laptop.
Also, a lot of Windows laptops are just designed very poorly. HP, for instance, has had overheating issues in most of their laptops for years, and still hasn't done anything to fix them.

It's pretty well known the low-cost consumer laptops are built like shit. If you need proof just throw a few hundred dollars at an acer laptop and try to use it for anything other than around the house. High cost =/ overpriced. But you still do pay an apple premium, much like beats. You can get a higher quality product at a lower price.
Is there a decent desktop window grid software? I have too many windows that I want to be perfectly sectioned off on my desktop. The only good ones I used were for proprietary monitors.

Windows 10 seems to have something like that, though I haven't read all too much about it.

I have it downloaded and all the drivers ready, I just can't commit on my main pc while I'm in school.

<$1000 AUD, Uni/light gaming. GPU/15" screen are a must but I'm not trying to run Crysis.

CPU: Intel 4th Gen. Core i5-4210U 1.70GHz(Turbo 2.7GHz)
OS: Windows 8.1 64bit
RAM: 4GB DDR3
HDD: 1TB SATA
Graphic: Nvidia GF820M Graphics
2GB Dedicated VGA
Screen: 15.6” LED Screen
I'm satisfied with the specs but the laptop is pretty obscure and I can't find many reviews on it. I'm mainly trying to look for battery life, how hot it gets and hopefully how easy it is to disassemble.

It's an ASUS, so it'll probably fall apart after a year or so. If you're okay with that tradeoff for those specs, then go for it.

If that one is anything like my Q550LF (which another different obscure model), it has a very similar build to a Macbook. Like almost lawsuit level. Its not a plastic mess at least so its not going to LITERALLY fall apart unless you trash the hell out of it.

Really? I wasn't aware Asus started making metal chassis. That's kind of interesting.
I am currently using a GA-G31M-S2L that supports Intel Core 2 multi-core and 45nm processors, I am currently using a very old Intel Core 2 Duo CPU and looking to upgrade, specifically something I can do some decent gaming on but also not over priced; something between £50-180 or so, does anyone have a idea on what would be best for me?

Well it has to be. You don't slice your finger on a plastic service panel. :v: Seriously, that edge was fucking sharp. It doesn't feel like super cheap metal either, as there is no flexing at all.
Anyone have any experience buying refurbished game consoles (Not from Gamestop)? I'm looking for a big anniversary gift for my girlfriends and the Wii U that is normally $300 new is $200 refurbished from Nintendo, and the 3DS XL has a similar price drop as a refurbished item. Would anyone recommend going this route or are there blaring issues?

I would say your probably safe if its a refurb straight from the manufacturer. I'm not sure about Nintendo's policies, but usually refurbs just have shorter warranties and possibly some cosmetic imperfections if they were somewhat used, but are functionally identical to a new one. And sometimes refurbs are better anyway, since they had to be individually checked to make sure that they work.
The Wii U Deluxe Set is now available as an Authentic Nintendo Refurbished set only from Nintendo, and it comes with our standard one year warranty. Although it may have minor cosmetic blemishes, it is guaranteed to be fully functional. We think you will find the standards for Authentic Nintendo Refurbished Products are VERY high.
Wow, a full warranty? That's actually pretty generous. So yeah, I don't see why not.

Yeah, that's why I'm buying my Wii U as a refurb. I save money and I don't lose anything.
If you buy with an AMEX, I think it gives you an accidental damage or defect warranty on top of the manufacturer's warranty. Might want to look into that too.
EDIT: Looked it up, it's an extra year of the manufacturer warranty. It's worth using, since Nintendo doesn't do extended warranties outside the 90-day Club Nintendo extension.

Do you know if that applies to Visa as well?

Visa has similar benefits, but only if you're a Visa Signature member.
Has YouTube been fucked for anybody the past 2 days? It's like I try watch a video and it loads for a bit and then it starts in bad quality but says its playing in like 720p and then its constantly stopping and loading. My internet is fine so I'm not what it is, tested in Chrome and Internet explorer

Yeah some bitch begged for us to take her Amex when she bought a new laptop because of that. But we don't take Amex because they're absolute tools to businesses.

Same happened for me when I updated Flash Player two weeks ago.
