Does anyone here use VoxCommando?
How do I watch Blu-ray discs on my PC? I've got a DVD drive that also plays Blu-ray (icon and everything printed on the drive) but I can't find out how to play it, a site I checked says if I already have the drive it should've included bluray software but it didn't.

Get VLC 2.0 (or higher), then check this site for the stuff you need to play actual Blu-rays.
Yes, it's a pain in twelve asses, but that's because the MPAA is somehow under the impression that if they don't have their movies encrypted and locked down on-disc that the pirates win.

What's a good budget 24" monitor? My little brother asked me to find one for him, and I honestly don't know all that much about monitors. There are so many bad ones out there, with their ~~100m:1~~ contrast ratios and ~~2ms~ response times.
It will be used mostly for gaming, so a TN panel is probably the way to go. Other than that, it would be nice if the colors were somewhat accurate.

the contrast ratio you're getting there is the dynamic contrast ratio.

Yeah, that's why I was having a poke at it. Everything on the specs page is a fucking lie.
I'm looking at getting two Dell U2312HM 23" IPS monitors ($230 each), but before I do I have a few questions:
1. For someone who will be using the monitors for movies, gaming, web browsing, word editing and programming is an IPS monitor worthwhile (basically I'm not using it for anything where colour precision is required)?
2. For someone like me, would it be better to get a cheaper 24" monitor with a TN panel?
3. Is an 8ms response high? Will it be noticeable? (I'm fairly certain response time isn't too noticeable until it starts getting >10ms but I felt I better ask anyway)
4. Is $230 a good price for this monitor? Do you have any suggestions for better monitors?
5. If you've used one of these monitors, do you have any opinions on them?
Thanks in advance. I appreciate any input, even if you can't answer any of my questions.
Has anyone here ever disassemebled a G15 (orange) for a deep cleaning? If so how difficult is it to get back together. I don't have a spare so I'd like to know what I could potentially be getting into.

1. Yes yes yes yes
2. That's up to your budget
3. You don't have to worry about response time anymore with modern monitors
4. Dell makes great monitors, but you can probably find a cheaper one.
5. I have a u2311h and I love it. After using an IPS monitor for a while there's no way I would ever recommend a TN monitor to anyone.

Thanks for the help, I'll wait a bit and see if anyone else has any input but at this point it looks like I'll probably buy them.
I did do some research and I was unable to find many 23"+ IPS monitors for less than $250. Dell do have another 23" one available for less but it has a glossy screen and no DVI. No DVI isn't a that big of a deal (although I did find it a little odd) but I don't think a glossy screen would be too good in the environment I'll be using them in.
I did also find a cheaper LG 23" IPS monitor but since I've heard good things about Dell monitors I thought paying a little more would be worth it.
Ok, so basically I spilled some water on my laptop's keyboard yesterday, as soon as it happened I turned it off, removed several components and let it dry(while keeping it flipped upside-down the whole time)
Today it's working perfectly fine, but I was just wondering if there's anything else I should do before I start using it regularly again.

Take a look through here: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/monitor/#p=1
You can get one as low as $150, but I don't know how the quality will compare to Dell.
Now that the TEC on my V10 cooler is fucked up, it's time to get a new cooler.
Is the Noctua NH-D14 worth the money, it's $150 here including shipping.
I should probably make a thread but it really is a quick question since the offer ends today
BenQ 24" 3D LED XL2411T 144HZ 1920x1080 monitor for 300$/230€/200£
Is it worth it? I'm in need a of a new monitor so im thinking either I get this one or:
Dell 24" LED UltraSharp U2412M 1920x1200 for about the same price.
With no general intentions on what to do with it, should I get a Raspberry Pi?

I have the dell, the only thing i dislike about it is the AG coating, It's rather noticable if you focus on it.
Hi! I recently got my first Android phone; found a Huawei U8180 in a bin, fully working and all, but with no backlid.
I've rooted my device and I'm currently trying to install a ROM. According to this tutorial there should be a Backup and Recovery option; but there is none on my phone.
I only have these options; reboot system now, apply sdcard:update.zip, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and touchscreen firmware up.
Help?

Seems like I didn't flash clockworkmod properly. I have the options now

Yes, it's cheap and you'll probably find something to do with it.
Before I send this RAM back (again), I thought I would just see what people here think.
Basically, I found my Corsair Vengeance RAM was faulty a while ago, I sent it back and got a replacement. But about a week or 2 after I got the replacement RAM, I found my PC crashing/bluescreening/freezing all the time, particularly when doing something intensive like gaming. I tried everything to fix it, and eventually I tried removing the RAM (The RAM that I had just recently recieved) and found that after removing it and replacing it with some older RAM, the problems all went away.
I believe this is pretty conclusive evidence that the replacement RAM they sent me is also faulty, however memtest86 doesn't give me any errors (at least in the 1 pass or so that I ran it).
The RAM that I think is broken is Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB (8GB) 1600mhz 1.5v. The RAM that I am currently using is some 1333mhz Corsair generic shit 2x2GB (4GB). My motherboard is an MSI Z77A-G45.
So basically, am I right to assume it is the RAM? I dont really see how it could be anything else, but I would like confirmation since if I send this back and they decide it isn't faulty, I get charged a fee.
Has anyone tried Razer Comms? is any good? when playing a game to chat with friends?

Run memtest longer, one pass not causing an error leads me to believe it's not the RAM, though. Have you caught what type of bluescreen it is?
try this

I havn't used it but *another* voip program is just... ugh, I wish everyone would just use Mumble since it's free & open source.

How many aren't free? (Unless they call to landlines)
Besides, Teamspeak 3 isn't bad either.

Sorry but what is AG coating?
Can I run three monitors using any combination of my Intel HD3000 and my HD5570? (not for games, just for other programs)
Sorry but what is AG coating?
Anti-Glare coating, the thing that makes normally glossy screens matte.
It makes the screen look kinda greasy.

Oh, googled that and it seems to be removeable (atleast on some screens), if I got that screen and removed it (If it's possible) would it be bad for the screen or something?

I'm fairly sure it is possible. Make sure you aren't disabling your onboard video in your bios, and then go and install the drivers for both ati and intel. Hook up one monitor to each, and see what happens.
