I'm not so good with hardware, but i noticed newer games like arma3 and other ones kinda run like shit(even on low), not sure if its my hardware or something else.
your gpu is kinda anemic. and even though you have a ton, you ram is quite slow. Invest in a GTX 560ti (or ati equivalent) and maybe replace your RAM with 8gb (or higher) of DDR3 at 1333MHz (or higher).

If I turn my monitor off, does it stop my graphics card powering it and take stress off it?
If I turn my monitor off, does it stop my graphics card powering it and take stress off it?
No, not as far as I know.
No, not as far as I know.
Alright, thanks
his ram is 1333mhz
explain
explain
DDR stands for Double Data Rate, therefore the actual equivalent speed of the ram is the displayed speed * 2 afaik
then why is the displayed data rate sometimes printed as "1333MHz"?
then why is the displayed data rate sometimes printed as "1333MHz"?
probably makes it easier to identify with motherboards requiring such and such memory
then why is the displayed data rate sometimes printed as "1333MHz"?
Because people suck at using units properly. The clock rate is 666MHz, and the transfer rate is 1333MT/s. And the data transfer rate is 10666MB/s (10666MiB/s if you insist on those silly binary prefixes), which is why you can also see it labelled as PC3-10666 or PC3-10600.
My computer thinks every click is middle mouse button click. I've tried it with three mice that work on other computers, it's a software problem. I haven't installed anything before or around the time it started happening.
I restored my computer to before it started happening, tried several test to see if the software thought middle mouse is being held down, etc, no solutions.
When I refresh the server browser in Source games my internet dies. Why? I changed the refresh rate in steam settings. Bought new router after Steam Support suggested it and still fucked. Anybody know how to sort this?
I want people to apply via a Google Form before being able to play on my Minecraft server. But when people send it forms it shows up as a pie chart and line chart. Is there a way I can make it show me a spreadsheet with all the forms sent by date?
Would overclocking from 3.7Ghz to 4.0Ghz improve fps in games like planetside 2 for me? I'm already overclocked from 2.7Ghz. I'm also running a Pentium Dual-Core E5400

Best-case, which is that your CPU is completely bottlenecking the rest of your system, you'd get maybe a 10% improvement. Or, if you're bottlenecked elsewhere, it could do absolutely nothing. But really, a three-generation-old dual-core isn't going to perform that well. You should really consider whether you can upgrade.
I'm probably going to upgrade to an i7-4770k soon with a new build, just was curious if I could squeeze that last bit of power from my old computer My GPU is a 9600gt

Is this article full of shit?
It probably safe to assume No because it's just a rumor. That CPU bit too, unless it's massively underclocked before theres no way you're pushing 1.24ghz anywhere near 3GHz on air cooling
My house for college next year has a 1.5mb/s down, and my 4g phone has about the same, is there a way to connect both and get 3.0mb/s down?
You can't actually combine them, but you can set up load balancing to utilize them both. Normal downloads won't be any faster, but stuff like torrenting and loading of web pages will be faster (it only works when there are multiple connections that can be spread across both lines). I googled it real quick, and it looks like Windows 7 supports load balancing out of the box. If you have both your phone and your regular internet connected at once, it should be automatic. Again, you won't see the benefits on regular downloads, but torrenting for example should be faster.

Doing overclocks like that would require a lot more cooling, and even a lot more power, than they currently have in hardware.
Looking for an Internal card reader for my desktop but all the ones I can find have shitty reviews so I'm stuck. Somebody recommend one to me? Its just so I can read SD cards easier.
For some reason, Windows refuses to communicate with my phone for longer than two minutes at a time in ten minute intervals. I've swapped out the cable, changed port, still nothing. However, the same phone, in the same ports, with the same cables, works fine in Linux. My question is "wtf what gives".

Not to mention that the 650 Ti has twice as many shader cores as the 650 (four modules instead of two).
Could I play PlanetSide 2 on a Radeon 6770?
