nVidia GeForce 645 is a good video card for a laptop with i7 and 8GB RAM?
If it's printer related, you could try going into services.msc and disabling the Print Spooler service
Late response, but that seems to have fixed it. Thanks.
You shouldn't need to worry about aligning an SSD if you install windows 7/8 directly to it and don't pull a 512 sector drive partition onto it.
nVidia GeForce 645 is a good video card for a laptop with i7 and 8GB RAM?
Should be able to handle most stuff on low, maybe medium if it's older. Don't expect to get good frames out of BF3 or any Crysis titles though.
Where can I get Windows 8 as cheaply as possible?
Where can I get Windows 8 as cheaply as possible?
The OEM version is $90 on Amazon, you could possibly find it cheaper elsewhere.
Where can I get Windows 8 as cheaply as possible?
Depends on how cheap you want it. If you're a student you can probably get it free through msdnaa.
I'm about to go get 8gb of ram, have 4 currently, if I leave the current 4 in and put the new 8 in the other 2 slots will it matter at all?
I'm about to go get 8gb of ram, have 4 currently, if I leave the current 4 in and put the new 8 in the other 2 slots will it matter at all?
I would make sure that both 4GB sticks and both 8GB sticks are on the same channel (depends on the motherboard, but should be similar sticks in opposite colors). Because it's highly unlikely both types have the same speeds and latencies - that will let whichever is faster work at the faster speed. Other than that, though, it should work fine.
Are there any programs that let you add a touchscreen button overlay to games? I want to play games such as Hotline Miami on my windows tablet.
Managed to obtain a netbook, Samsung N110 Would it benefit from windows 8 over windows 7? My only problem is the thing it's supposed to do (web browsing) can be really slow
Managed to obtain a netbook, Samsung N110 benefit from windows 8 over windows 8?
don't think so.
FUCK [editline]2nd June 2013[/editline] Fixed it
I haven't noticed a difference in browsing speed between 7 and 8, but I'm on a higher-end desktop so I don't really know if it'd be comparable.
I haven't noticed a difference in browsing speed between 7 and 8, but I'm on a higher-end desktop so I don't really know if it'd be comparable.
I asked becaused I was looking at videos of the nc10 (it's the same speed as the n110) running windows 8 and it starts up pretty much instantly, and the thing this laptop would be used for was web browsing and some casual DJ'ing at friends houses

(That is if you mean actual deejaying and not just playing music)
Can't promise dj'ing. (That is if you mean actual deejaying and not just playing music)
Hah no, not proper DJing, just general music playing and putting on requests, no mixing or anything
i want to buy a nexus 7 as a sort of download device for steam games so i dont have to leave my pc on all night can the nexus do that?
i want to buy a nexus 7 as a sort of download device for steam games so i dont have to leave my pc on all night can the nexus do that?
Not sure if it can download for steam. If you are looking for a low cost low power solution, I'd imagine a Raspberry Pi would be the option. How do you guys know which motherboard to go for? I want to overclock a Haswell i7 a bit, and I want to add a second GPU down the line (7950) but I have no idea if I'm spending too little or too much. I have 1TB drive and the OS runs off an SSD. Have an MSI for AMD Phenom XII currently, not great. ASUS in the PC before that and it was flawless. Any recommendations?
just run the installer for the old one.
Should I check "preform clean install"? Heard that was necessary from a different forum.
Yeah, that's probably best.
K, played bf3 for a bit and no artifacts. Running smoother, even. Thanks for the help.
-thought this was the TF2 thread- I have a 2gb USB drive that seems to have a random 2mb "NEW VOLUME" and a 1.98gb normal volume how do I delete/format it so it's just one 2gb volume
this might sound dumb but is it dangerous to have a cpu fan running at 100% speed all the time also, i get around 55C with stock amd phenom ii x4 965 BE heatsink while playing games like gmod and cs:s, is that too hot?
Just got my Samsung Galaxy S4. What case should I get for it? I have the white edition so it seems that a white case would be best. My budget is $30 and under, go.

It should still last years, and it's cheap to replace when it does go. I'd be more concerned about the noise myself. 55C is fine for in-game.
