Quick question is The Nvidia's 320.49 fix the issues in 320.18 and is it ok to update? If it helps I'm on a 570
Havent had any issues on 320.49 I would go for it as 320.18 is dangerous.

I have a 64-bit OS and have used 64-bit Firefox builds for internet browsing (Waterfox and now Cyberfox) but I've recently been wondering if it's worth it at all. Is there any appreciable difference or reasoning behind using a 64-bit build rather than the official 32-bit build? I've heard that it should be faster and smoother, but this is kind of offset by the fact that some plugins don't work.

On a 32-bit version it would just crash, but on a 64-bit version it would continue to operate just fine.
So you guys remember when I asked about 2560x1080 monitors? Well I got one and it is awesome except for youtube...... [t]http://i.imgur.com/WwXOd5Z.png[/t]
So you guys remember when I asked about 2560x1080 monitors? Well I got one and it is awesome except for youtube...... [t]http://i.imgur.com/WwXOd5Z.png[/t]
All kinds of websites waste massive amounts of space. I regularly browse at only half-monitor on my 2560x1440 screen, sometimes even on my 1920x1080 laptop screen.
http://www.displayfusion.com/ [editline]3rd July 2013[/editline] oh wait, are you talking about a single 2560x1080 monitor? i've never heard of that resolution before.

Made for office & movie use though
Perfect for someone who doesn't want two monitors, but the screen space of two. And shit, I got the aoc one for $370 with free shipping, can't complain.

Has Acer gotten any better? Looking to get a cheap laptop for college that can handle easy games like World of Tanks and Source games, so it needs a dedicated gpu. This Acer in particular: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834215974 Or should I go the extra $50 for an ASUS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834230987 Edited: aaw damn the promo code for the Acer expires tomorrow

So I'm hosting a server and I need both players to have the same terrible ping. How can I make the ping more terrible for the other guy?
Trying to set up eyefinity on my computer but my old 19" is fucking up the resolution. I have a 27" as a main monitor and a 23" as second, both at 1920x1080 and I'm thinking about buying another 23". Run 23" - 27" - 23" should look ok for the games I will play eyefinity on so it should not be a problem. Now, what would be a similar monitor to a Samsung p2350 for a good (cheap?) price? My main 27" is also a Samsung so a Samsung would be a +. Thanks.

The only problem would be your other displays would look somewhat worse in comparison, as it most likely looks a good bit better because it is an IPS panel.

And just for the fun of it. IF I would change all my monitors. What would be good for eyefinity in a good price?
Looks nice. I look in to it. And just for the fun of it. IF I would change all my monitors. What would be good for eyefinity in a good price?
Something with an IPS panel because of the amazing viewing angles. I imagine that would be useful for having three monitors.
So my desktop is having wireless issues. I've been using an Apple Airport Express as a solution since it an ethernet port that I have hooked up to my desktop's port. The motherboard doesn't have built-in wireless. But lately it's connection has been getting worse and worse and now it's just completely dead. It claims it has internet access but nothing loads and I can't even log into Steam. So what do I do? Do I get one of those USB wifi adapters or a wifi card? Right now my desktop is completely a giant paper weight since it can't do anything. [editline]4th July 2013[/editline] Oh, and I'm downstairs while the router and stuff is up stairs on the opposite end of the the house.
So I'm hosting a server and I need both players to have the same terrible ping. How can I make the ping more terrible for the other guy?
This is a serious question.
What's the best way of removing old thermal paste from a heatsink? I'm buying a new mobo and CPU and I would like to reuse my Noctua cooler.
What's the best way of removing old thermal paste from a heatsink? I'm buying a new mobo and CPU and I would like to reuse my Noctua cooler.
Alcohol, or alternatively, you can rub it away with the friction of your fingers.
What's the best way of removing old thermal paste from a heatsink? I'm buying a new mobo and CPU and I would like to reuse my Noctua cooler.
Isopropyl alcohol. You can get it for dirt-cheap at any convenience store, and it's also useful as a general disinfectant or cleaner. It's better at cleaning the paste, and it's supposedly safer for electronics. Worked fine on my Xeons.
Isopropyl alcohol.
Oh, turns out this is what "karburatorsprit" is made of. :v: I have some in my garage. Thanks! I've heard you can also use acetone, is that correct?
Oh, turns out this is what "karburatorsprit" is made of. :v: I have some in my garage. Thanks! They're nearly the same chemical, and they're both powerful (by home chemical standards) solvents.
First time buying internet. So my new apartment has 3 coaxial cables installed. Should I test all 3? I noticed I was only getting 2mbps(should be 50mbps) and switching to another one brought the speed up to 25mbps. Does that seem right? Could it have just been power cycling the modem that 'fixed' it? The first cable I tried might have been through a splitter, I am not sure though. I guess I will try the 3rd one and complain to comcast if I don't get the 50mbps that I am paying for. I guess I should also hookup an ethernet cable since a wireless speedtest is probably not super reliable.
