Go to your modems config page(usually 192.168.100.1) and check your signal levels. Downstream SNR should be >30dB Downstream Power should be between -8dBmV and 8dBmV Upstream Power should be <55dBmV
The power is just above 8dBmV. Should I try switching back to the first cable and see if the numbers change drastically? [t]http://i.imgur.com/cLKUgUK.png[/t] Now that I think about it, maybe the reason I am getting 25mb instead of 50mb is due to a wireless setting. I guess I'll have to go through the settings. That looks pretty good. If you want to lower the downstream power you can run it through a splitter. And for the wireless settings if you're in an area without many other wireless networks you can set the bandwidth to 40MHz
Toying with i5 ivy bridge over clocking right now. In its low state it is 1600 MHz@ .920 v . it clocks up to 4.2 GHz at 1.056-1.080v. According to cpuz Temps max out 75c its a mini build so cooling isn't the best right now. Is there anything I can do to get the voltage lower so it runs coolest? My mobo only gives me offset options for voltage and I hate it! I'm playing games windowed, it keeps cranking down to 1.6 GHz and crashing my games... Should I bump up voltage? Because when it is maxed out it seems fine :/ PlayStation 2 emulator if that matters any.
Is there something like Windows Sticky Notes that I can have open on my desktop when I boot on / off my PC? Preferable something I can colour code, its hard keeping track of notes using the Windows sticky cause of the text being black
Hey, just wondering is it possible to set up your computer to have two network connections [one wired the other wireless] doubling your internet speed or at least bandwidth? Windows 8 Cheers

I'm looking for a new monitor, I found this that seems to be pretty good from what I've read online and seems to be at a nice price, should I buy it or is there something I should know about it? http://www.1a.lt/samsung_syncmaster_s22b350h
Hey, just wondering is it possible to set up your computer to have two network connections [one wired the other wireless] doubling your internet speed or at least bandwidth? Windows 8 Cheers
Yes, in theory. In practice, the bottleneck is almost certainly between your router and the public internet, not between your computer and your router. Standard Ethernet speeds are 100Mbps for older or cheap-piece-of-crap devices, 1Gbps for modern stuff, and 10Gbps is becoming available on server-grade kit (still costs $500 or so per port, I think - not likely you'll have this). Considering even 100Mbps is absurdly fast for an internet connection, you're not going to be bottlenecking on your router->computer link unless doing LAN transfers. If you're still interested in speeding up LAN speeds, look into "link aggregation". I believe Windows only allows aggregation between similar links, though - you can combine two GbE ports, but not GbE and 802.11. You might also need specific device drivers to make it work.
Anybody want a world of tanks invite code or something? I got one with my keyboard and I don't want it. Apparently it's a $30 dollar value.
This is a serious question.
you'd probably be better off in the programming section brother

Best desktop for gaming for 700 bucks new?
Best desktop for gaming for 700 bucks new?
Build it. I can have a quick shitty parts list in a bit edit: holy shitballs when did RAM double in price [t]http://puu.sh/3wg5B.png[/t] Over budget I know. Here what you can do though, Got a hard drive? Reuse it and that's $70 off right there, $18 off if you don't need a dvd burner, $50 off if you have a case. This took like 10 minutes so i'm confident there are better deals on newegg and elsewhere.
Best desktop for gaming for 700 bucks new?
Are you planning on building one?
Building PC the first time, I've got DDR3 RAM here, the label says: 2000MHz, 4GB (2X2GB), 9-10-9-27, 1.65V While my motherboard supports 2000 MHz, the CPU doesn't, I guess the RAM will work at 1333MHz at first and I'll have to change it to 1600MHz. But which timings should be and that voltage? I'm not sure if label's one will work alright with 1600 (it's written for 2000, right?).

Are relays toggled or do you power them to keep them on?
Are relays toggled or do you power them to keep them on?
You need to power them. Usually an electromagnet is used to keep the "switch" in place.
I got a new monitor and the colors seem a bit weird, but I can't quite tell what's up with them exactly, what's a good way to make sure the colors on my monitor are properly calibrated?
Which one of these is better? I want to use the computer mostly for gaming. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230987 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215663

Isn't the HD4000 more powerful than the GeForce 610M? Seems likely. Honestly, the Acer isn't going to be that great at gaming either, but you seem to be aiming for a much lower price than a "gaming" laptop.
I'll let you decide. (The Acer)
Are you planning on building one?
It's for a friend, he preferrably would just want something that's prebuit.
What would you guys say would be a good place to buy a prebuilt gaming PC? My friend's mom won't let him build a computer and he needs a place to buy a prebuilt online.
What would you guys say would be a good place to buy a prebuilt gaming PC? Why not build it for him (For free out of generosity/for experience or for a small price)?
some people really don't know anything about computers, they think building a desktop is rocket science or something in reality it's like much bloodier legos except expensive
