is that possible on the old, fat 360?
Depends, do you have HDMI-out? If not, you might be able to use something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Component-Digital-Audio-Converter/dp/B0034HWQ4Y/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1378259207&sr=1-8&keywords=Component+to+HDMI It's pricey, but I'm thinking you could plug your component video cables into that, run the audio into an RCA-3.5mm adapter, and run HDMI from the converter to your monitor. That sounds like it'd work, right? EDIT: Your monitor doesn't have HDMI-in? Well, it makes it cheaper. Something like this should work pretty well: http://www.amazon.com/Female-Shield-Component-Adaptor-Computer/dp/B000I21Y9G/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1378259355&sr=1-1&keywords=component+to+vga Alternately, something like this does exactly what you need in one unit... But it's expensive. I think I'm seeing a trend. http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-CPNT2VGAA-Component-Video-Converter/dp/B0014BL9PO/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1378259355&sr=1-2&keywords=component+to+vga This does the same as the above, but it's cheaper: http://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Component-YpbPr-Audio-Converter/dp/B009GUQYBO/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1378259355&sr=1-8&keywords=component+to+vga
ok how about this, the cord that i am currently using for my monitor/360 has, attached to it, the audio cords which is connected to a 3.5mm, which i can then plug into my speakers (but they're shit so i'm hoping to use my headphones instea) is there such a thing as a cord that has like 2 3.5mm ports to connect that cord to my headphones? [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] because tbh, if i had to buy one of those i'd rather just buy a better monitor that has HDMI anyway but i got the current monitor for free and i'd like to spend as little money as possible [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] just to be clear, i mean something like this http://www.monoprice.com/Product/?c_id=104&cp_id=10429&cs_id=1042901&p_id=7230&seq=1&format=4#feedback
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10231&cs_id=1023104&p_id=2404&seq=1&format=2 to connect your console to your monitor assuming it has DVI and you're going to want a cheap amp to use your headphones with a line out heres one for $18 http://www.amazon.com/Pyle-Pro-PHA40-4-Channel-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B003M8NVFS/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1378262977&sr=8-8&keywords=amp+headphone you'll need 1/4 inch plug adapters though, or a different amp
I guess I should stick this in Programming discussion, I guess I'll do that if I don't get an answer here. After the "XB1 will support 8 controllers" thing, I've seen people rave about how the thing couldn't push 8 viewpoints at 60fps at 4k (each viewpoint being "0.5k" which is a bit more than 720p, iirc), which is obviously impossible for a game that's supposed to run at that speed and resolution on only one viewpoint, but could you, theoretically, make a game with simple graphics or good graphics that scaled well enough to render one viewpoint at 4k, or 4 at 1080p, or 8 at 720p, etc? Without taking into account screen size, (because 8 or 16 viewpoints would probably be uncomfortable on anything but a projector) but taking into account anything that could put a load on the console like physics, AI, etc, though I'm sure those would only need to be rendered once for all viewpoints?
i got it all now, thanks for the help

It still is rendering the overall same resolution, the only real performance difference probably comes from all the new vertices.
I currently have a GTX 560 TI, should I buy another GTX 560 TI and SLI it, or buy a new card altogether? And will a new, much more powerful card require a new motherboard (I have the Asus P8H77-V at the moment). I guess my budget for a new card is 200GBP. [editline]4th September 2013[/editline] And a new mobo ~100GBP, give or take 50GBP or so.

It'd help me level up Pointless Internet Arguing and it'd probably be an interesting read.
What cooler phased out the Hyper 212+ ? Like, I can't find any Hyper 212-s at many places. Is the new one the Hyper T4 or should I get a TX3 EVO to cool my i5 3570k? [editline]4th September 2013[/editline] Or like, the Hyper 212+ price has just been upped by 10€, so which one of them should I fetch?

However, four view ports at 1080p should run fine, judging purely on the specsheet. I'd say just buy a new card. As for motherboard, as long as you have the right PCI-E slots, you should be fine.
212 Evo was the successor.
I know but i have a feeling that they successed it even further. I found one place where they sell the Evo with a under 30€ price currently.
whats a good price for a used Sapphire RADEON HD 7970 OC ? UK £?
Anybody have any vague idea how many MB (or GB) a fresh install of Windows 7 will download in updates? Last time I reinstalled windows I went over my college's bandwith limit of 10GB daily (I think I managed to download like 60-70GB of stuff in a couple hours. Awesome internet speed there.) Most of that was games and stuff, but it would still be helpful to know how much I should save for Windows itself.
when building a rig mostly used for games and 3d editing applications, is it better to get an intel 3770 with an AMD 2GB 7850 or a cheaper 8350 and a better card, maybe an nvidia 760

for games, the amd option. for rendering, the intel option [editline]5th September 2013[/editline] best of both? amd. just my opinion
Open up resource monitor and see what's using the disk / cpu when you lag.
Well, I posted this in the Headphone Buying Thread but it looks pretty inactive. I would be really grateful if anybody could give me some advice. Budget: $75 eBay: Rather not, unless from a reputable seller. Country: US Isolation: Semi-important (subtle noise should only be audible to others if they're a couple feet away) Purpose: A tie between music and gaming, though I suppose I lean a bit more towards the music side. Music Tastes: Various kinds of rock and electronica. Some ambient. No heavy metal, no rap, and not much dubstep. Some of my favorite artists: Pink Floyd, Daft Punk, Jimi Hendrix, Brian Eno, K.C. and the Sunshine Band. Previous Experiences: Never had quality headphones, best ones I've ever had were a gift, probably about 30 bucks but they were really uncomfortable. Other than that, I've had stock and $10 earbuds. Comments: Over-ear. The sound quality of music and games are both very important to me. Comfort is important--I don't want anything jabbing at my head, making my ears too hot, making me itchy, whatever. If at all possible, wireless would be good.
Hey, Can anyone tell me why fp suddenly thinks that i am using google chrome, when i am using opera? I dont get it.
Do you have a particular plugin for Opera, might be your useragent.
Looking for a new LED monitor. Want the price to be under $200, and a decent size (22-27 inches). What brand (and / or model) should I be going for and what contrast ratio is preferred?

You might want to up your budget.
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=76361&vpn=GL2450HM&manufacture=BenQ&promoid=1282
Well damn.
Well damn.
You're pretty freaking off, a lot of monitors can be found cheaper than that. That one is even a BenQ. I think you should take a look at the market once in a while...
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=76361&vpn=GL2450HM&manufacture=BenQ&promoid=1282
I've seen BenQ stuff around, but wasn't too sure about reviews on it and how many people prefer it. I was looking more into Acer and HP stuff. In your opinion, is BenQ a good brand for monitors? It says it's "The official monitor of the Major League Gaming", so I guess it's a good thing. I can't select a language to download Office Home Premium 365. The box is greyed out. Because of this I can't download it. I just have to select a country and a language yet the language box is unselectable, and in the page's source it says the language selection is disabled. So what the fuck's with that. What is wrong? No answers to be found in Microsoft's help pages, and their virtual help robot is dumb. EDIT: fixed it was just a browser problem (lol no firefox alllowed)
Can I use my notebook as a monitor for a desktop PC? Im building a PC for a friend, but I dont have a notebook nearby to install Windows/drivers.

Anyways, I have a XL2420T and I'm adoring this. There's a reason why BenQ is put in every freaking tournament out there. They deliver quality.
