Are there any good programs for making bootable USB sticks for installing an OS floating around? I remember seeing one mentioned in this section before, but it's name escapes me.

When is the next GPU promotion? I think there are ones for both AMD and nVidia but is there another one coming up soon (next month or so)? I'm probably gonna upgrade to 7770/7790/650 ti and the like soon. [editline]10th September 2013[/editline] For reference, Nvidia's is the free 2 play ingame prizes promotion and AMD has AAA games for their promotion
you probably just need to remount it, make sure you don't tighten it TOO much either
Already did that, was more or less the same. I just undervolted a bit and it made a pretty big difference. I ran Prime95 for about a half hour, never hit 60, and never above 55 in Medal of Honor. I'll probably stress test longer just to make sure though. I wasn't planning on overclocking it anyway.
Quick arduino question I'm going to be making this http://learn.adafruit.com/adalight-diy-ambient-tv-lighting I'm just wondering if I'd be able to power it from the 5V output on the uno
Will having two monitors, my PC, and a HI-FI on one extension lead draw too much power? I don't want to start a fire.
Will having two monitors, my PC, and a HI-FI on one extension lead draw too much power? I don't want to start a fire.
wat? I run three monitors, 1 computer & once in a while a laptop or a desktop + monitor. @ Dreamhack they essentially daisy chained each table, so that's 40 or more computers. Only be afraid of horrible power strips / outlets. I see no reason why you should think this.
I'm looking for a remote desktop control program that allows me to control a computer over the internet through a browser. Basically, turn on home pc, install that program, go to school, control home pc through browser if possible.
Will having two monitors, my PC, and a HI-FI on one extension lead draw too much power? At 15A-20A you'll start tripping breakers.

One surge protector, my lighting circuit, is plugged into the other. Thing looks like a Medusa, but I haven't yet flipped a breaker. I figure I'm not in any sort of danger... My track lights do flicker when I play Kerbal Space Program, though...
As long as they're good surge protectors(nice thick cables) and you keep it under ~1.5kW you should be fine.
i have a nvidia msi 680 in my computer (this one to be exact) do i need to buy the exact card to sli
I feel you kinda answered you own question. "The lights flicker", to me that is a nice way of saying you are sucking too much power from one outlet. Run a cord or something.
I feel you kinda answered you own question. "The lights flicker", to me that is a nice way of saying you are sucking too much power from one outlet. Run a cord or something.
Make sure the other outlet is on a separate line, though. In my apartment, there's just one 20A line for the "living room", which is basically everything except the fridge, stove, microwave, AC and water heater.
It's just the track lights. I'm pretty sure the other side of my room is on a different line, but the entire room only has one breaker. My chandelfan doesn't flicker, it's just the track lights. Again, though, I can have everything running at once and have no issues, but when I fire up KSP, and it is only KSP, the tracks flicker.
Hello hard- and software forum. I'm about to buy some upgrades for my PC and I don't know if it's official that there will be a "better" version of nVidia's GTX 760 (like the GTX 560 ti)? I found some news where they say that there might be one, but no official statement. Is it still speculation only? It's important for me because I would wait for it then.
I'm a fucking moron and bought another Nvidia/MSI 560 Ti, turns out my motherboard only supports crossfire. :downs: On the slim hope that I can get away with all my current hardware, is there any app or website that'll help match you up with motherboard compatible with your partiular cpu/ram? Or am I up for a painstaking manual search? I really want SLI for Blender rendering :[

It's a gibabyte something something, checked the model a while ago and it seem most internet forums unanimously agreed that sli doesn't work for it (not sure if they actually tried though). I could still give it a try though, I guess. My first question not withstanding since I'll probably need a new mobo.

Was looking to get a 32" one, and want to know if there is better for the same price range.

I just bought a Logitech G105 Gaming Keyboard, is it any good?
I just bought a Logitech G105 Gaming Keyboard, is it any good?
I think you're supposed to ask that question before you buy it.
Hey, i have both a gaming desktop and a gaming laptop. But tbh i use the laptop a lot more than i use the desktop, even tough the desktop is a little better spec-vise. And i just bought an ssd disk that was cheap. So my question is.. Should i Use the ssd on the laptop or the desktop? I'm heavily considering placing it in the laptop. But then again, what i do most is gaming, and the desktop would be the best for that.
Do you have room for both the SSD and a hard drive in the laptop? If so, I think that would be best. However, if you can only put one drive in the laptop, an SSD would be likely too small for serious gaming, so I'd put it in the desktop.
I just bought a Logitech G105 Gaming Keyboard, is it any good?
My friend bought one of these. It's good enough for me, The keys are stiffer than my G15 but mine is old-ish.
Hello, I have this incredibly shitty program called "ASRock XFast USB" It launches when I launch windows, but usually it simply gets STUCK in its loading screen, making it unable to shutdown or terminate, impossible to even shut down PC through normal means. So now I chose to uninstall the piece of shit, and for a second I thought it would be unable to do that, but it did it! Now the question that doesn't deserve a thread: How was your day?
Can anyone let me know how many things This PSU could power? I'm a total retard and I've never used a modular PSU but it doesn't look like I could power my entire PC with just the four modular ports they provide.
