I'm looking for a better wireless card and found this:
http://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemID=612017&CategoryID=623
Is it a good choice? are there better alternatives/recommend anything better for under or around $150?
And yes I have to be wireless. Please do not suggest running an Ethernet cable through my walls, as much as I'd love to do that, it's not an option.
why are you spending $150 on a wireless card? get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833106135 or something if you need an external antennae

Powerline is much more stable for most people.
I've been getting "Memory Management" bluescreens for a while now, and after finally doing a memtest I can say that one of my corsair sticks is faulty.
Im just wondering, should I RMA it to Scan.co.uk (where I bought it from) or to Corsair itself. Corsair seems to have a pretty competent RMA section and they have an option describing what I have found (i.e errors with memtest).
I pretty much just want to use whichever will get me a replacement first. Also, will I have to send back both sticks? Because I'm not sure if I have any replacement RAM that will work.

If you're in the UK, first port of call (because of EU law) should be the retailer - so Scan.
Most companies will just tell you to take it to the retailer.

Some companies actually write that you should contact them and not the retailer.

Which is false. RMA's should always go through the retailer.

In the EU.
Ok, well I sent a message to scan. Im glad I can keep using the other 4GB stick, so I still have 4GB until they get come collect it, I assume they will want both sticks since it is sold as a package, so I guess I will have to hope my old ram still works (it's been sat on my desk for like 6 months).
Also, I asked this in the steam thread but that thread is pretty dead so:
I've just reinstalled windows, but before I did I backed up some of my games from the "common" folder in steamapps. I copy the game to the new PC and put it in common, and then I click install. Steam then "discovers existing files" and in the past it has worked just fine and steam has realized that I have all the files.
However more recently "discovering existing files" means "deleting all the files you have for no reason". Several times I have copied a game over, started it installing only for steam to "discover" all the files, and just delete them all then start downloading the game. E.g I copy Arma II over, click install, it "discovers" files for a while then just begins downloading the entire game and I find it has reduced the 8GB folder to about 20 mb.
Does anyone know why this is / if there is anything else I can do?
P.S: I backed up most of the games via steam backup, so they should be fine, it just wasn't working with Arma II for some reason.
TL;DR: I backed up some games from steam before I formatted and I want to just paste them into the common folder, but steam usually only recognizes about 1/3 of it and still tries to download most the game again, despite having all the files. Is there any way to make steam just recognize the game properly?

What I usually do is start the download, and paste the files in, increases the download speed by a bazillion.
Where would be the best place on the forum to advertise selling my two Sapphire 7950s? Also if anyone is interested they are £350 inc p+p as long as you're within the uk.
Any time I download something using uTorrent it knocks my internet off basically, but the uTorrent download still works. How do I go about fixing this?
your router's awful and can't handle all the connections it's getting from all the peers probably, limit the number of peers to a lower number (100 or something per torrent?)
either that or you're uploading a ton
I left HWMonitor running while I browsed the web and played chivalry (and hosted a server) and you can see the max temp the CPU reached, it also idles a bit lower than the current temp, closer to the min temp.
The columns go current, min, max for those who don't know.

But anyway, those temps are pretty good right?
Not sure why Core #2 is always a bit higher than the rest but I have read that it is pretty common?

with a GTX Titan as it's a Tesla?
Hey guys, I seem to be having a problem with my TV not working with my PC. Well, recently I had to reset my computer to the factory settings, so I did everything necessary and had decided to move on with 'couch gaming'. So I try to connect my TV to my graphics card (PNY GTX 550ti) with an HDMI cable and it doesn't seem to detect anything unlike it did before the reset. The TV works with other things such as a console with even the same HDMI cable but won't work with my PC now for some reason. So yeah, any help would be appreciated!

Also my PC only seems to ever recognize it during the startup, it actually even outputs on the TV then but when it loads up to the login screen it comes back to the computer screen.

Likely not. It's a Tesla, but it's identity is not.
Likely not. It's a Tesla, but it's identity is not.
Oh, well then there isn't much point in me getting one then. What's the point in having compute power if you can't do anything with it? Back to deciding between a Quadro and 680 then.
Titan all the way.

i'm sure a titan would be more than enough for whatever you're doing in maya
Anyone know of some quiet 140mm fans?
Anyone know of some quiet 140mm fans?
Many are quiet.
I like my Cougar 140's 3pin on the low noise adapter. I use two of them on the top of my case and the front. Really nice low frequency hum that blends into the ambient.
I have a few 140mm fans. NZXT, Cooler Master, and Gelid and they aren't all that quiet. the Gelid is probably the best of the bunch since it does have rubber mounts and makes the least noise but it pushes almost no air.
I try some Cougars and see how those work out.
You know me and my fans.
Go for the 140mm 3pinners and use the adapter. You'll like em I think.
I think I'll get them.
Just gotta wait for my rebate from XFX to arrive so I can buy them.
