[QUOTE=zakedodead;42288387]Is there any way to achieve the effect of plugging a male to male audio jack from my line out into my microphone port from software? Preferably just some sort of media player that can playback as mic?[/QUOTE]
Yes! But it's expensive. I used to use it for DJing in a Teamspeak. [url]http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm[/url]
So I plopped in a sound card since I had to ditch the onboard audio. Problem is, the way the board is arranged, my graphics card only has 1-2 cm of space to breathe. The sound card is directly under it. I can't arrange them any other way as slots are limited.
I'm not noticing any unusual temperatures, but I'm not too sure the airflow is optimal. Has anyone bought PCIe risers/extensions before? I'm thinking about buying one so I can house the card to a lower expansion slot for better airflow. Has this worked for anyone or was it too flimsy?

I had sli 670s next to eachother in a tiny case. I think you're good.

Guys, is the heatsink direction correct?
And how I'm supposed to put the last screw on the hole on the upper left corner? Its between the case and the heatsink.
I can't tell which way the fan's pointing, there's usually an arrow on it that's molded into the plastic, or you can look at the fan and tell by the way the blades are shaped. The fan's supposed to push air through out the back, but if it's on that side it should be pulling air through pushing it out the back. As for the screw, most people put heatsinks on after installing the motherboard, you might be able to reach it if you remove the fan.
How can I put music on a blank DVD and be able to play it in my car? I've seen this thing pop up when I used to burn a shit ton of stuff onto them asking if I wanted them to be like DVDs or CDs (this is with the default windows burner, dont know what its called), would that work or do I need to do something else?

Can your car read DVDs? I've never seen a car that can do that. DVDs and CDs are physically different - a CD-only player physically cannot read DVDs.
Then there's another issue. There's something called "DVD-Audio", which is a very high-fidelity audio format. You can also just use a data DVD with a bunch of MP3 (or other supported format) files. Many car stereos can play data CDs with a bunch of MP3 files on them (I use this to fit about 7-10 albums onto one CD), and a car that has a DVD player might be able to work this way. DVD-Audio I doubt would be supported, since the main use is either 5.1 audio or stereo with a massive sample rate and bit depth.
If this is the case (data DVD with MP3 files), just use any standard disc burning software to fill it up.
My aunt's SUV reads DVDs. Plays them on the satnav screen in the dash, but only when the vehicle is parked.

The CPU fan doesnt have arrows, but the fan I bought for the front of the case is on the opposite direction of the CPU fan, and I know its installed correctly as that fan has the arrows, and I put it so the arrow points at the case. I guess that means the frontal fan is sucking air from outside to the case.
So the CPU fan should be looking at the same side, sucking air from the case to outside, right?
EDIT: Saw some tutorials. Now the CPU fan is sucking air from the case to the back of the case.

Eh, Its whatever. I just found an AUX cable so now I can just plug in my ipod and blast Lorde all day erry day. Thanks for your reply, though.
Guys, the holes of the case and the GPU and wireless adapter aren't lining up.

EDIT: Forget about it, nothing I can do now.

ok i have a question, I got a new router with a USB port and I bought a USB HDD for it, it detects it and I have it set up in the router, but how to I access it? There's no info provided. It's a monoprice router, I've read that you can go to //ip/sharename to do it but i have no idea what i'm doing
[editline]24th September 2013[/editline]
ok I think something's supposed to show up that isn't, not sure what to do...
[img]http://i.imgur.com/SLiU1jZ.png[/img]
I think it's supposed to have a create share option, it's a 1TB drive that I formatted into 2 volumes of 500GB. I'm gonna try a small usb stick and see if it works
[editline]24th September 2013[/editline]
also why can't I format it to FAT32? It lets me do exFAT but FAT32 won't show up.
[editline]24th September 2013[/editline]
OK 8GB USB drive isn't working either
[editline]24th September 2013[/editline]
well it just couldn't share the root of the drive so you have to make a folder and share that, p silly
it should have a new folder button at least
I am on the point of replacing my motherboard and CPU, (I just need to some more money) and need to know one thing:
I have a Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo, supports up to AM3+ sockets, but I need to know, has AMD changed the CPU fan brackets on the FM2? I need to know if this CPU cooler can fit on the FM2 socket.
Any monitor geniuses here? I've got two identical Dell monitors (old things, 1280x1024 Dell 1081FP) and one of them has brilliant colours and the other is slightly yellow tinged. Is there anything I can do about it? Software calibration is fine, the monitors settings are the exact same too.

Calibrate them so the yellow tinge is either consistent, or less noticeable?

From the looks of it it should work fine, but it might cause issues with the first one or two RAM slots.
You sure? This is the motherboard I'm about to buy:

And this is how my current motherboard looks like:

Current one has even less space between the RAM slot and fan bracket.

The one which has greenish colors is probably more used than the other. You should try to press the menu and + button when the display is off, and while you hold these buttons turn the display on.
This should give you access to the advanced menu showing the backlight hours.
This DID work on my SE198WFP monitor, but Dell probably uses the same way of accessing the menu on other monitors.
They changed the mount, but the same heatsinks work. They just removed the plastic around it to improve airflow.
Need help here. I use an email service called outlook.com
Someone reply me, I create a reply. Then create another reply. Does the receiver receive 2 same emails or does the latest reply erase out the first reply.
if you send two emails they receive two emails, even if they're both replies to the same message
One of the hard drives in a relatives laptop has died outside of warranty. They asked me to find a replacement that's reliable and cheap. A 100-150GB hard drive is good enough for them. Where would be the best place?
Scan.co.uk cheapest (320GB) is £37 total with a 3 year warranty.
Amazon UK is cheaper but unfortunately I can't trust their packaging.
Ebay sells them for much cheaper but they're used. Any advice if buying used HDDs can be worth the possible headaches?

I've got a 160GB Maxtor drive you can have for £10 + shipping, if you'd like.

But it's secondhand.

A friend sent me this saying her taskbar is broken. I have no Windows 8 experience so I'm asking here. It looks like the taskbar has shrunk, is it possible for her to reset it?
Thanks
Looks fine to me.

Right click somewhere in the empty space and uncheck "lock the taskbar".
See if she can resize her taskbar back into action.
I'm using Iobit's Smart Defrag to defrag my hard drive regularly but now I'm wondering if it's doing it right or not, because when I analyze the HDD with Defraggler, the fragmentation is huge while Smart Defrag shows 0%.
Should I trust Smart Defrag or stop using it?
Well fuck, installing Daemon tools fucked over my disk drives. They aren't detected in explorer but they appear in device manager. Windows troubleshoot can't fix them!
Any help?
What is the best safest way to clear dust from my Corsair close loop water cooler H60 radiators?#
Also is it safe to touch my motherboard while its turned off? Afraid of static electricity.

Perhaps daemon tools remove the drive mappings. Search for disk management in the start menu and make sure all you drives have mappings.

Get one of them cans of compressed air.

They don't appear in disk management, but they do in device manager. I've yet to reboot, that might help.
