Stands?, Not really, I would look for ones that can be filled with sand if you can though. - the mass really helps isolate the bass from the room. Which will become more apparent if you ever get monitors with larger drivers. Fixed height but fill able: 400mm 600mm 800mm Apart from that, it's had to get something that's truly awful, especially when they won't get moved much :) I placed mine on some drawer units on some homemade isolation pads, I'm getting some stands though soon because drawers like rattling: (Resizing...)
hmm, i like your setup. what DAW are you using? and i might just make my own stands. nd fill em with sand nd staple some foam to the bottom.
I use Cubase 5. - Also good idea!
I use Cubase 5. - Also good idea!
ever used protools before? xD
Yeah, It's what I use when I am not at home. Protools|HD rig I use has a C|24 with a 96 I/O - Mackie HR624 MK2 Monitors on a Mac Pro. Still prefer Cubase though. - I find protools clunky, even with a bigass controller.

Something about acer, and the ones with that shape are just awesome. As, for my room, nothing has really changed but I moved the lava lamp to the side of my bed, because it makes the room have amazing lighting when I sit in bed with a laptop at night. I also, plan on setting up a 15" monitor on my desk so I can watch shows while I work. And here are some extra pics of my room to contribute. [IMG_thumb]http://imgkk.com/i/e1j7.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Text version and the rest of my small room.
I like your room.
Where'd you bag that comforter/bed set broski?
I like your room.
[IMG]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/rating/heart.png[/IMG]
Where'd you bag that comforter/bed set broski?
Target.
My crappy desk in the living room :( The rest of the stuff
[IMG]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/rating/heart.png[/IMG] Target.
Target has some surprisingly high quality products. I bought a jacket from there that makes me feel cooler than the Fonz fused with Duke Nukem.
[IMG_thumb]http://imgkk.com/i/e1j7.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
What knife is that?
What knife is that?
...? Why you care so much about a knife on a desk in an image on a forum such as Facepunch rather scares me. I'm not going to bother posting my desk. It's rather embarrassing.
What kind of AMP is that? looks like a good portable one.
i dont have an amp :D unless your referring to the blue and grey box. thats an MBOX 2, its a protools LE recording interface. not so much as an amp :D

I am having a bench built for me, can anyone suggest a specific height?
I am having a bench built for me, can anyone suggest a specific height?
The height that fits you best, duh.
What knife is that?
I was looking for a good knife, and I was going to buy this 20 dollar knife on amazon, but I went into academy, and saw a great one for 10 bucks. Don't even know what it's called.
I am having a bench built for me, can anyone suggest a specific height?
Feet touching the ground, and the desk sitting on your thighs height. The you arms should be at a 90 degree angle.
don't get a $10 knife, chances are it's tacticool backwards Chinese scrapmetal shit.
I don't care where the metal came from. It works. And it works 100x better than my last knife. (it broke cause I tried widdeling a name into a tree.)
The height that fits you best, duh.
Seeing how this desk will be for my first rig, I do not know what my preference is, that's why I asked for a general height as many posts in here contain handmade desks.
Feet touching the ground, and the desk sitting on your thighs height. The you arms should be at a 90 degree angle.
Thanks.
What are you using these knifes for? [editline]09:28PM[/editline] post your desk v. post your knife
I don't care where the metal came from. It works. And it works 100x better than my last knife. (it broke cause I tried widdeling a name into a tree.)
If your last knife broke when you attempted to carve your name into a tree you need to buy better knives. I have a Gerber Answer 3.25" FAST with a Tanto blade and I love it, quality above all, especially in something like a knife.

I went with the Smith and Wesson SWBLOP2B. After looking at that Gerber, though, I might have to pick one up.
What are you using these knifes for? [editline]09:28PM[/editline] post your desk v. post your knife
Well, I got some new hightops and it has a small pocket in it, so sometimes I carry this really small 1" knife I have in my shoe. It's useful for cutting odd things, and I'm sure I could stab someone in the spine area and run away if they tried to rape me.
If your last knife broke when you attempted to carve your name into a tree you need to buy better knives. But I'm really cheap so the other one won.
I has a CRKT Drifter knife. It works pretty good for what I need, but it's nothing fancy. Dat one.
http://www.leatherman.co.uk/ Don't be caught without one.
http://www.leatherman.co.uk/ Don't be caught without one.
Looks like it would take 30 seconds to get the knife out.
