Hey guys as the title says I'm looking to build a PC with a £700 Budget.. To be used for online gaming. What parts would you recommend?
Wait till next week when we've got Sandy Bridge to play with bro. That's what I'm doing (I ordered my PSU, RAM and case before new year).
What's a Sandy Bridge mate? [editline]4th January 2011[/editline] Infact, If I give my specs can you tell me what to upgrade too.. I'm looking to get my PC to handle Dual Monitors.. But I'm only willing to spend £200 on it.
The new Intel line of processors that, going by the current benchmarks, are going to be shit hot (well, actually they run very cold and be overclocked to ~5GHz on AIR!) and amazing value for their price. The best one is the i5-2500k, which is on par with the i7-980x on some benchmarks for only £174 (iirc). [editline]4th January 2011[/editline] 200 on what? I thought your budget was 700?
My budget is.. But If I was going to upgrade my Current PC I would only spend £200 on it. Thats my specs, What needs upgraded to allow dual screens?
Your graphics card I'd say, perhaps even some RAM. I know that there's not much difference between 1333 and 1600 DDR3, but 700MHz? Holy shit dude... Also I read your mother board as:
Yeah, I build it pre-made from a shop. Ripped Off though.
Just use your 700 and get a completely new build in the next couple of weeks, Sandy Bridge is going to be incredible.
You can't dual screen game, so I presume you just want another monitor to have itunes, msn, ect... If this is the case you don't need a decent GPU to run two monitors, in fact you could do it now if you wanted to. Judging by your motherboard I think you must have a pre-built which makes upgrading harder. You should be able to salvage the motherboard/RAM/maybe CPU/HDD/optical drive although you'll want a new graphics card/another 1GB of RAM/PSU/case if you want a decent gaming rig
Isn't it shown as that because it is DDR? If anything from that list, upgrade your GPU. It's a fairly straight build, and should play what you want, but that integrated video is keeping you back by miles.
Hnng Laggy double post. Also, show your PSU.
Yeah his RAM is 1333 but speccy only shows it as half for some reason. He should get another gig though so he can run it in dual channel
Alright, thanks guys! :3:
Nae danger.
Get a new build CPU: Intel Sandy Bridge i5 Mobo: Whatever is 90-100 RAM: 4GB GEIL Optical drive: Whatever is cheap Storage: Samsung F3 Spinpoint PSU: Seasonic S12II 620w GPU: AMD Radeon 6970 Case: Cooler Master HAF 922 I'm telling you to wait for Sandy Bridge, and then get a decent mobo.
