Digitalrev is absolutely useless for finding reviews, they're literally all 5 stars for the same reason Everyone reviews the fucking shipping instead of the lens :v:
DigitalRev has been the mainstream photography shop targeting amatures knowing absolutely nothing about photography for quite sometime now. People watched videos of Kai and Lok from their Youtube Channel, and then buys gears from the their website because they literally do not know any other websites.
I only have USB3 ports behind on my PC but I got a really small USB3 flash drive. It is really hard to get it in and out from there. I should get either a new case with front USB3 ports or a nice hub.
Finally spent a little time tinkering around and doing some research on manually setting RAM timings for Ryzen, and I've finally got my B350 Tomahawk to start running my DDR4-2400 sticks at 2400Mhz instead of 2133. The solution was to disable XMP completely and manually input the timings. Some people have had to loosen their timings slightly to get things stable, but everything has worked fine for me at 15-17-17-35 from the getgo. Overall, I am extremely impressed with the 1700X. [editline]11th June 2017[/editline]
Also it's been some time since Ryzen has came out. Is it actually good?
Ryzen is fantastic. It is still in its youth, so there are some growing pains when it comes to memory compatibility and BIOS settings, but mobo manufacturers have been doing a great job releasing BIOS updates regularly to continually increase compatibility with different kits. The benefit to multithreaded operations cannot be understated, this thing absolutely shreds stuff that would have taken ages on my old i5-3570k rig.

Buy off a grey market site like Digitalrev / DWIDigital / Kogan B. Buy somewhere reputable like B&H / Amazon and deal with ridiculous shipping C. Buy genuine locally and pay a fucking fortune The one advantage Digitalrev has over others is their way of handling warranty. Instead of having to ship back to Hong Kong, they'll pay for it to be fixed at an authorised repair centre

Finally got around to fixing my r9 280x. Currently it's in my old gaming PC with a HD7870 mining some coin It's pulling 540 watts from the wall, jesus.

Stayed back 45 minutes at work to complete a data export for a client (timezones so they still had a while left in the day). Had been told the wrong database to export from and it was useless. This will be the 4th (5th?) time they have tried to merge with a child company and it turns out they needed the data from the child company. Didn't realise until I got an email on the way home though. :suicide:
My card has been known to do that alone under ln2...
The card is nuts with power usage and the heat it makes, it's one of those sapphire toxic cards. even better is that the PSU is rated 600W. Maybe i should try hook up one of those beefy server PSUs Shame corsair psus are meh now.
Still 540w for a full system running 2 GCN GPUs at full load isn't terrible

Real talk, how many of us would not be using Windows if the same games were available for macOS/Linux? I know I would.
Real talk, how many of us would not be using Windows if the same games were available for macOS/Linux? I know I would.
If everything available on Windows was available on MacOS/Linux, i'd happily switch.
Real talk, how many of us would not be using Windows if the same games were available for macOS/Linux?
The play games on occasions now so I can pretty easily switch to MacOS since all of my Adobe programs are pretty much the same. Still can't get behind the idea of a shooter on a console, though. Just bought BF1 for my PC and couldn't imagine playing this game or anything like it without KB+M. (Shameless plug, my nick on Origin is Protocol114 if anyone wants to carry someone so bad at multiplayer FPSes he quit them for months)
What Desktop Environment or Window Manager would you use on Linux?
What Desktop Environment or Window Manager would you use on Linux?
I always liked the new Gnome, but when I played with it I really like i3wm as well. Tiling window managers make you feel like a wizard.
What Desktop Environment or Window Manager would you use on Linux?
I just use MATE, it's what I'm used to at this point, LDXE/jwm if it's a Pentium 4 or lower system.

I tried. I failed. I always over or underaim and die.
Keyboard and mouse has a higher skill floor and ceiling, but I do just fine playing shooters on console.
What Desktop Environment or Window Manager would you use on Linux?
xfce4 mustard race
Yes XFCE the bestest
But yeah if I stopped being a loser who plays video games and Macs stopped being so damn expensive (and/or Hackintosh was easier on AMD builds) I could just dump Windows completely. Linux is nice but it still has some major problems for anyone who wants to use it exclusively.
The thing that gets me about Windows is how awful web development is on it. It's way way wayyyyyyyyy better these days, sure, but it's still not as nice as on a Unix-based OS. Not to mention IIS is a piece of shit compared to Nginx/Apache, but at least those run on Windows too.
Speaking of how god awful Windows is... this is a brand new installation. It's fucking broken
