hey fuck you i literally just washed my sheets today [editline]18th March 2017[/editline] And the difference was day and night
Flannel sheets fresh out of the dryer with the window open a crack blowing across your face in January. Hnnnnnggggg.....
Alright so I've been reading a lot of shit, taking a lot of shit from the r/techsupport IRC telling me that I'm a retard who shouldn't OC as well as testing stuff and I'm at x41 and not crashing with ~1.3V. Though I'm doing a long term burntest and am dipping from 4100 to 3300 that doesn't seem right does it
I just accidentally fucked up while making a disk image out of an 80GB XP installation and made a read-only VHDX Now I get to sit and wait another 2 hours for it to convert into a VHD so I can actually mount it in VirtualBox.
Having a nice warm shower and grabbing a nice warm towel from the dryer. Baby every time...
Sucks ass when there's not extractor fan in either bathroom and no matter how much you rub the shit out of yourself with that towel you physically cannot fucking dry yourself with how wet the air is. [editline]19th March 2017[/editline] Wait that came out wrong.
Taking advice from reddit is the only thing dumber than reddit itself.
Depends on where you're getting advice from tbh. Some subs are more knowledgeable than others, but /r/techsupport is not one of them.

Hello can anyone give me an ideas as to why the hell I can't connect to an idrac6. It is listed as a connected device in my network showing its IP and everything, and even windows can recognize that its there, just that its in its shell and doesn't want to do jack.
Who the fuck is this imposter?
If you can run prime 95 for an hour, and your temps are reasonable, it's stable. Period.
Wouldn't occasional drops cause lag ingame or when streaming though? I recall trying out this clock and having weird ping stuff going on though that might've been something else. [editline]19th March 2017[/editline]
Using what monitoring program? HWMonitor can measure individual cores but it already sounds like it's stable or it's auto volting and holding it back
realtemp

[editline]19th March 2017[/editline] realtemp
Prime 95 will max out anything, and lock it at a workload that exceeds almost anything you would ever see (it uses a lot of instruction set calls that mean the entire chip is getting worked instead of just specific pipelines, meaning more heat). If your temps are reasonable, it's not thermally throttling the clockspeed. Typically exceeding the voltage will just cause errors and random crashes (sometimes it won't even be able to boot).
It might be speedstep or the turbo whatever causing it, my voltage drops to around 1.1V when it dips but I'm not sure it'll be a problem. Hopefully won't.
What are you using to test with? If it's not properly maxing out your system, the processor is going to clock down.
Prime95 blend [editline]19th March 2017[/editline] It really bothers me that my radiator isnt feeling hot to the touch even though the CPU temp is at 85 right now

As a result the processor is working the whole time. Regular work loads like rendering video gets my processor to 70 watts, PRIME 95 makes it hit 100.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/0iwo6ay.jpg[/t] My Macintosh SE is now running with a SD2SCSI device! 8bitguy's SE is either actually broken or, more likely I think, he's done something wrong :v: It was a bitch and a half actually getting System 7.5.3 onto the Mac since all I had available to me was a System 6 Disk Tools disk and a floppy with Lido on it (and no way to write new floppies) but at no point did I have any issues with the SD2SCSI device itself.
Man this cable sure is some good shit!
62.210.207.27 ping summary: Packet count: Sent = 100、Received = 99、Lost = 1 (1% packet loss)、 Round trip time(milliseconds): minimum = 993ms、maximum = 2363ms、average = 1986ms
Kill me.
Is CPU-Z showing your clockspeed crashing?
Fell asleep, not sure now since I've slept on it I know realtemp showed it dipping

I'm such a dumbass for getting rid of my old Powerbook 150 and the SCSI ethernet adapter, that was an awesome machine. I just don't feel like dropping $200 on one.
I've done it!!!! After going through a laundry list of virtualization wizardry I am finally booted into my old, old computer. I don't think it was booted up any time after 2008. I've still got old versions of Steam and Chrome installed on here.
I like the IE name.
I'm gonna fresh install my Windows on another SSD, any tips to get it running smoothly again?
I like the IE name.
It was actually my grandpa's computer, but it was the only computer I had access to between ~2002-2007. My mom had a computer, but she used it for work so I only got to use it for a little while when I came home from school before she got out of work. [editline]19th March 2017[/editline]
I remember when combat arms was good.
yo me fuckin too, r.i.p. that game was the shit for a small period of time. remember Pump Jack? that map was easily one of my most favorite maps in any FPS, it was a better map than even most CS maps at the time
I'm gonna fresh install my Windows on another SSD, any tips to get it running smoothly again?
Step 1: install on an SSD Step 2: don't install anything else
any tips to get it running smoothly again?

fresh install
Sounds about right.
I've got a few things I need to install on it including drivers and all so
Guess who and what. No points for why.
Is Linus trying to make his own heatsink?
Can you guess how well it performed?
It raised the temperature of the CPU without a heatsink by 5c.
