I'll probably get a Pebble Steel on the cheap sometime. Though, I hate having to leave Bluetooth enabled on my phone.

Honestly, those brake lines look far more obnoxious.
Here I am attempting to 'fix' a disgustingly terrible website that I got given as an assignment. And the assignment is to fix it up, NOT to throw this in the rubbish and start over sadly enough.

Just look at this garbage. I have absolutely no idea how to turn this crap into a proper website at all. We got given a few very basic classes of HTML but that experience doesn't stand up to this shit at all.
And now for something completely different:
Have people given up on smartwatches yet? I just realized I haven't heard about them in forever, I no longer see people ostentatiously wearing them, and nobody's even talked about getting one. Is the stupid fad finally over? Do they even make them anymore?
I have, I gave away my moto 360 because it became an insufferable attention whore.
I don't need 4 devices whining that I have email concurrently.

Well mostly a good CSS should do it, how much of the HTML are you allowed to change?

Got my X220 off of ebay, italian sellar. mint condition, got extended battery in excellent shape even though not mentioned and legit win 7 key :v
Well mostly a good CSS should do it, how much of the HTML are you allowed to change?
Basically everything, including the HTML files.
The problem I have right now is that the other HTML files have broken paths and I don't know how to get that fixed properly. My style sheets are in
D:\Libraries\Documents\ROC\Project\NW02 Murphy's\Site murphy\style
and the images in
D:\Libraries\Documents\ROC\Project\NW02 Murphy's\Site murphy\pics
But for some reason the CSS files won't load because Chrome tries to load them with the following path:
file:///D:/Libraries/Documents/ROC/Project/NW02%20Murphy's/Site%20murphy/pages//style/style.css
I've been looking in the html files and the paths seem to be correct, and I've been looking for any references to 'pages' but all I found was the paths for the menu buttons.
Can't wait for the Android O update to finally kill Messenger and other apps eating all of my battery
Dev server at work is only running on a quad core 1.8 GHz Xeon (which somehow uses 80W) and 48 GB of RAM, someone please buy us a new one.
Had nothing else to do so I was looking through the list of client retail sites (service stations mostly (entirely?)), then I noticed one guy thought it was a perfect time to watch some porn and found out he's been doing this for a while. Proceeded to check every so often to see what he was up to since he closes it and brings up our software whenever he leaves the computer to do whatever.
Really wanted to send a "scroll up a bit" message but it puts our name in front of it as you'd expect so sadly couldn't

Oh and I just noticed that some Vietnamese IP has been trying to brute-force my switch for a few days now, though that bot couldn't get in since I set a time-out of 120 seconds after 3 wrong attempts :v:

It's always funny to watch bots try to break into your equipment. I set up a DO Droplet and within 5 minutes there was already dozens if not hundreds of failed SSH bruteforce attempts. Fail2ban is the first thing I install on my public-facing resources now.

Very modern version of macOS you got there 👌
On the other hand, I really wish OQO can somehow be reincarnated and keeps on making UMPCs like this guy:

The UMPC game started way too early, but now we have a ton of ultra low power processors, I believe they can potentially thrive again.
I can't stress how much I'd love a OQO 2+ with modern internals. The closest out there are the GPD devices, I have a WIN and have preordered the Pocket, but it's not OQO levels of form factor.

How did that start on fire in the first place?

I'm guessing in the connector itself, judging by the state of it.
hey guys, I'm having a pretty big problem with Windows Explorer lately. If I leave my computer running, which I need to do pretty much all the time, Explorer will inevitably glitch itself out and start to look like this:

any ideas on what might cause the address bar to crash?
[editline]22nd March 2017[/editline]
for the record, I'm not using any third party modifications like Classic Shell or OldNewExplorer, which would make sense to cause an issue like this

I bought this outdated Pebble Classic for 100€ just for it to 30€ lower after a few months and, later, its company going bankrupt
fuck if I'm not going to use it until the end of its times, it's almost PERSONAL now
Plus one of the key reasons I got it is easy development and there's a shoddy javascript library to use so even if I have to do crappy workarounds 60% of the time you bet your ass I will get this thing to do what I need

Yep, a really cheap and nasty molex to sata adapter.
SATA > Molex > 6pin > 8pin

Luckily my 290x is watercooled so it puts out the fire automatically. I just have to leave the fitting it bit loose and refill my reservoir every few weeks

I wear a Galaxy Gear S2 pretty much every day. I love it. The battery will last 2-3 days if I keep the screen wakeup gesture off, and will last a full day with every feature enabled. It charges within 45 minutes from 15% anyway so battery life is hardly an issue unless I'm going on an extended trip - in which case I'll either wear another watch (I have a few other non-smartwatches) or just bring a Qi charger anyway.
I used to be a Pebble diehard (still have my Time!) but until people suss out open source firmware for the Time series, I'll stick with the Gear.
