Any reason you're not just using VirtualBox? VBox works really well as long as you don't have to work with any external hardware other than flash drives or something.

My previous experiences with VirtualBox (mind you this was half a decade ago) was that it was extremely sluggish. I at least know what Parallels can do.
I've definitely had better luck with the VMware product on macOS than Parallels.
I remember the dirty, dirty days of PearPC.
I am not sure if this a feature in the Windows 10 installer right now, but in the insider preview Cortana guides you through installing windows.
It also plays at max volume and has no warning .. which is a problem if you're installing windows at 3AM.

Are we talking about OOBE or WinPE? That's fucking hilarious for the latter, anyone with an install disc doesn't need Cortana yelling at them on how to click next.
yes, creators update OOBE has cortana accessibility
iirc it isn't disableable currently so it just spams you

I loved how the kid OP was lecturing Linus on not using 'for the lulz'. I completely forgot about that thread, was great reading it again.
Ever got your SSD wingless?

I'm spending the day at CeBIT in Hannover today. Really interesting but I only understand half of it because it:s all in German
I went two years ago and it was incredibly boring - we saved the day by just raiding every booth of their swag

Gee thanks ATEM
(some buttons are missing when you full screen the program)
Well the AMD RAID driver just locks in kernel space on certain IOCTL requests, mainly stuff that CPU-Z does, like getting the serial number and other info like that.
And also my bloated fan controller software(for w/e reason) also does something like that, and when it freezes it just maxes out everything to 100% persisting between reboots.
But its a step up from the previous chipset, where raid wasn't even bootable.
You guys ever tried Windows NT 3.51 in a VM? It's odd, looks like Windows 3.1 but 32-bit so it can run some windows 95 programs.
Any good places with reasonable shipping costs for bulk Ethernet? I'm looking at Monoprice right now at $60 for 250ft of cable and rj-45 connectors plus shipping.

That's one of those things where you're probably better off going to a local store if at all possible.

My Home Depot, of all places, had a sale on cat5e 500' spool for $45.

Yeah the general rule of thumb is to buy in bulk at a store that doesn't specialize in that product category. i.e. Why buy bulk Cat 5e at Office Depot, Best Buy with probably a considerable markup when you can get it for relatively cheaper at Lowes/Home Depot. (Keep in mind usually that bulk stuff is without RJ45 connectors so you'll have to crimp your own)

There barely were any goodies as far as I could tell. Have gotten a few stickers from Atlassian and some from AWS. Either way, don't think I'm going back next year unless there's something worth going for. Almost every stand had something with VR and while it's quite interesting, 5 seconds usually was the longest I paid attention to one stand.
I've checked before at my local HD and Lowe's. They don't have anything.
Doing a search around doesn't show anything worth the price at my local retailers.

Monoprice is a reasonable cost, it's the shipping that is out the ass.

Another place you could try is some sort of electrical contractor supply store. I can't think of any off the top of my head though.
Mouse bungees, yay or nay?
Mouse bungees, yay or nay?
I hear they help, couldn't tell you for sure since I use my MX Master wirelessly though. I ain't care about wireless being worse, I can't tell.
Mouse bungees, yay or nay?
Yay
If you're into competitive games and rely on muscle memory, it's important.

For 250ft you're really not going to find a better price easily. You can get 1000ft of CAT6 for less than double that though.

Do they have to be set up directly in front of the mousepad or doesn't that matter? I have a very small desk

Get your connectors elsewhere lol, they are expensive as balls at Home Depot...
Mouse bungees, yay or nay?
I personally just tape my wire to the back of my monitor, it does the same job.
Not having the cable drag behind the desk is amazing.

Really I just order 90% of my networking stuff from balticnetworks or doubleradius

I can't find a bungee that will hold my G700 cable. It's too thick and the bungee holders cut into it.
Yes, the G700 is wireless, but it doesn't last more than about 8-10 hours unplugged.

I was already in the store getting cable, and it was too convenient... I have ordered online every other time though. I hate walking into HD and listening to the clueless employees (except the old guy that every store has who cuts wood).
