fico 582, that's why :(
I'm lucky. Opened a $500 credit card with my bank in August. I now have a 760 Fico. I'd just like to thank everyone for all the help they gave me a few years ago, helping me out by donating hardware and games and stuff. I just wanted to let you all know I still appreciate it to this day. I even still have a few pieces that I still use now. Thanks again guys. I'll try to stick around again.
My credit score fuckin' tanked by 60 points when I bought my car. No idea why, I have been way early on payments for 6 months now. Credit is such BS when you're young and have no established credit history.

Also I don't think the time of payments is even registered, just whether you paid. Keeping consistent.
Opening new credit often will drop your score. Also I don't think the time of payments is even registered, just whether you paid. Keeping consistent.
Well yeah, it's just stupid that you basically have to lose credit to gain credit.
You're not losing credit though, just rating since opening an account is seen as basically risky. You then prove them you're worth it and your rating goes up over time. You gain credit... by opening the account.

Noctua NF-A15
The AP13s are a bit pricey, and i'm only looking for 120mm fans so the NF-A15 isn't for me. The NF-S12B redux-1200 looks pretty good for my needs at $14/ea, and it's Noctua so I have faith.
I've been meaning credit score the whole time, not just credit.
people who keep applying for lines of credit are riskier it's stupid but makes sense at the same time [editline]26th March 2017[/editline] fwiw: the hard pull caused by synchrony when i opened the google credit card only dropped me like two points, so i don't think it's not as bad as people make it out to be
I've been meaning credit score the whole time, not just credit.
Yes, but it makes perfect sense. If you just took a huge credit for a car, it would be bad for you to ask for another credit. So your score is reduced, because right now you shouldn't be getting a credit, it would be a huge risk. You are presumably already at your spending limit with the car credit. When you pay back the car credit, you are credit-worthy again, and will probably have gained extra points. I really prefer my pointless system.
Soldered the webcam [t]http://u.cubeupload.com/tratzzz/tmp12159IMG201703261.jpg[/t] And now I have a crappy 1.3MP webcam for free! [t]http://u.cubeupload.com/tratzzz/2catmp12159IMG201703261.jpg[/t]
No heat shrink tubing?
I bought heat shrink tubing for the first time a few days ago and went kinda crazy Now all my friends have repaired cables
Well that's real fucking logical, express shipping from Japan (7100km) costs $24, arrives two business days later. Express shipping from Melbourne (1400 km) costs $22, claims it's gonna arrive two business days later.

The moment when you're the first person to clock into work on a Monday morning.. Anyways speaking of credit, I think your credit rating increases when you have a job. Or at least it's easier to get a credit card when you say you have a job when applying.
No heat shrink tubing?
Electrical tape I should buy some heat-shrink from ebay but I don't know how much do I need and what sizes would be useful for me :v:

Advantage to living a couple minutes from hardware + electronics stores, I can just run down and grab whatever I need when I want it :v: [editline]27th March 2017[/editline] (And usually 10 other things I didn't need just now but I totally will some day)

Came in to ask around for rechargable batteries, came out with speaker wire, heatsinks and LED bulbs :v:
Most electronic shops have turned into e-shops and it is cheaper to just order from ebay in that case. Bigger cities do have a good chain though, time to move I guess.

Like I don't need these hard drive cases or spare usb cables for hard drives and other shit but one day, I'm gonna need it. I now have extra usb cables in every bag. I do plan on going to some dollar store or Asian store to find cheap pouches to store stuff in.
Electrical tape I should buy some heat-shrink from ebay but I don't know how much do I need and what sizes would be useful for me :v:
I started to hate electrical tape for cable repair because it's not long before it's just a gross sticky mess
Got my 50mbps down/2mbps up connection today, hell yeah. Kinda wanna give streaming games for friends another shot.
Soldered the webcam And now I have a crappy 1.3MP webcam for free! [t]http://u.cubeupload.com/tratzzz/2catmp12159IMG201703261.jpg[/t]
on the downside, it's 1.3mp on the upside, that's more compact than like, ANY webcam module out there. Would be nice for a raspi zero-powered spy cam or a door cam. Or even a coffee cam! [editline]27th March 2017[/editline]
No heat shrink tubing?
the issue with heatshrink tubing is that you need enough space to slide it to and avoid shrinking it while you're soldering. And you also need to remember to slide it into place before soldering... :hammered:
I tried to get it to stream through yawcam to open web apparently I can't get my ports forwarded or I am just plain dumb... It will probably end in my useless shit box but I haven't had a proper webcam before so it's good to have.
I didn't know how shitty convention center Internet can be until there was supposed to be a live stream but the Internet was so shit that it just didn't work out. Dropped frames.. dropped frames everywhere.
Why is egg carton foam so expensive? Like, not even the acoustic stuff. Just plain foam. It's $50 for an 8x2' sheet.
It's not really for eggs. It's typically seen as high end shipment packaging.
