An unlocked flagship from 1-2 years ago off ebay is still the way to go imo, I'm still rocking my Z3C

I'm quite happy with my 128gb OP3T
I have a laptop that has a broken charging plug/port and a dead battery. The charger is 19V.
I salvaged an old laptop, got a port and a charger, 18.5V.
The battery is dead anyways, the wattages were so similar that amperage was the same. No problems should occur when I replace one with the other right? I mean, it even falls into the ATX ±5% difference, so I can't see any problems.
meanwhile i actually unironically have an iphone now
this is what my life has come to

I was thinking of getting the new iPhone, I don't fuck around with Android anymore on my OPO which is 2.5 years old now.

Basically no phones interest me these days since they all tend to screw up at least one thing crucial to me :(

You just have to give up all expectations in the modern phone market and you'll be a lot happier

Yeah. That's the problem. Right now I'm running a Lumia 950XL, in terms of hardware it's almost exactly what I want, minus dual sim (Since I travel a fair bit). The problem is software, for so many reasons. But there's also a lot of things I'm fussy about there that stop me. Everything sucks.
Let's come together as a community and kickstart a FreeBSD-based phone

5" screen
Headphone jack, USB charging and data link
Android without stupid modifications and with frequent updates
No weird protuberances
Available in black
Medium-end (or better) SoC
~$300 (USD)
Why is this so hard to make? Fuck, why isn't this what EVERYONE makes?

You might get Stonecycle to buy something modern with that

The biggest things for me is dual-sim, microSD card slot (NOT shared second sim slot, fucks sake guys), camera that's not the same trash every phone is currently shipping right now (Just give me the camera from my 950XL) and Android that's not fucked up, plus I instantly cut out a few brands I refuse to buy from for one reason or another. Basically one of the xperia X's. Except they have the fucked up dual-sim/MicroSD tray thing.

You should really just abandon the idea of uSD with the fact that Google has nerfed it out of usefulness for the most part

The problem is I fill up internal storage so fast I need a large MicroSD card. It sucks. I could go for a 128GB+ phone but the problem with that is I don't exactly want to pay $600 more to get it.

Kinda like me and laptops.. it sucks.

... I'm even fussier on laptops. I realise this is a situation of my own making though :v:
I'm okay with an iphone if I can stop using iTunes to sync all my songs
I actually use iTunes as a music manager, so it was fine for me :V
Shame I had to update to the latest version to use it, but I ended up disabling basically everything in parental controls anyway, so it's good enough.
I was thinking of getting the new iPhone, I don't fuck around with Android anymore on my OPO which is 2.5 years old now.
Same thing for me. Don't mess with anything anymore. Just want a phone that works and takes good pictures.
My OPO was actually the same age. I ended up having to take an iOS dev class, so I figured that since I was planning to get a new phone, might as well get an iOS device to test my apps on. Got a used 6S Plus. 64GB, the same as my OPO, should last me a while.
At least I made a really pretty hello world:

Likewise for myself and laptops...
Laptops are basically full of compromises and having a big wallet will help a lot.
I'm really fussy with computers, though. I wrote an entire article about how awesome my ThinkPad with OS X Yosemite is, and how everything else is terrible :V

I'm sure as hell not going to use cloud storage, if a phone doesn't atleast a have one uSD slot then its a shit phone.

Cloud storage works pretty well for me, to be honest. On my last Android phone I just played music through Google Play Music, and my anime pictures were saved to OneDrive for shitposting on the go.

Honestly though with Type C 3.0 and large enough storage it's easy to live without
I carry a Type C SSD on a stick every day to transfer large files between computers and it makes it easy to just clean the phone once a month or grab files as neccesary
FX Plus is useful for connecting to network drives and has a great UI too
AT&T coverage in my city is actually pretty god-awful whereas T-Mobile is pretty decent :v: Verizon has the best coverage here but fuck going to Verizon.
At my mom's house she gets shit coverage with Verizon, but I get decent service with T-Mobile. :v:
hell fuckin' yea I do
Honestly my PS2 had a network adapter for years before I knew of its second function as an IDE adapter.
what a day that was. So much was learned. So many changes made.
Do they have an easier way to do the initial memory card hack or does it still effectively require either an already hacked ps2 or some rare-as-shit usb adapter or a swap-disk?
because I got waaaaay lucky that my sister's ex had the PS3 -> PS2 usb memory card adapter that sony quickly abandoned right before they patched out native PS2 support from the PS3, I was able to borrow it and found a free mcboot installer tweaked to use it.
Which is good because those suckers start at $60 on ebay.

Is that thinkpad matte black or high gloss?
Either way, add a "fat" model with a flip/slide qwerty board for three-fiddy and sign me up.
