Man, building a PC in this day and age with no real budget restrictions is weird. Like, should I get a 1080 for the heck of it? Should I go back to AMD for Ryzen 5? So many questions. Also gotta figure out if I should build a new VM host or just reconfigure my current PC for it.
Eh, there's not much more cost effective than a used precision for VM hosts. Mine with 64gb of RAM and a 2.6ghz 8-core (so I have another 2011 socket open) was under 700.

Now, do you want 1440p? 4k? 21:9? 144hz? Any combination of these?

If it's good, I'll get another to replace both my shitty Asus TN panels that I try to use for photo editing. Hint: it is not going well.
Psh, the human eye can't perceive more than 384hz
Umm, that's not true. My uncle works for LG and he says he can see the difference on their 2Khz monitors.
Umm, that's not true. My uncle works for LG and he says he can see the difference on their 2Khz monitors.
I have an Xbox One Two Three Project Rattlesnake and I can't tell the difference between 2Khz and 384Hz! PC gamers...
There's no point in getting anything that surpasses the HDMI 2.1 standard!!!
I have an Xbox One Two Three Project Rattlesnake and I can't tell the difference between 2Khz and 384Hz! PC gamers...
Bah. You'd never get to even 384Hz on an Xbox One Two Three Rattlesnake. Only the PS64 is going to do that.
8-bit guy fried several LCD screens, a semi-rare Commodore 64 accessory, and a Commodore 64 itself before he figured to check for what is apparently a common issue with Commodore 64 power supplies.
>no budget restrictions >ryzen 5 just get two 1800Xs on a server board and two 1080Tis :chem101:
That aint gonna work. Ryzen stuff has no SMP. Gonna need to go for Opteron/Naples for that when it's out.
Nice, chrome is now hijacking the programmable media keys I have on my G930 when it's the active window meaning I can't control fb2k while using it :poot:
I solved this by binding one of them to Alt-Tab, take THAT google
Oh wow I actually managed to get HL2 on OSX to run at a pretty stable 60 FPS at native res on the i5 X220 :v: I wonder if the Windows version does worse or better. I'm actually kinda shocked cuz I was only managing 30-40FPS on the Acer C720P which has a newer Intel HD card. However, it was the shitty Celeron 2GB model, so that must've been bottlenecking it pretty hard compared to my i5 with 6GB in the X220.
I solved this by binding one of them to Alt-Tab, take THAT google
chrome://extensions go to keyboard shortcuts. it's probably the google play music extension
chrome://extensions go to keyboard shortcuts. it's probably the google play music extension
Already checked that, there's nothing there It's just capturing them for no real reason (it doesn't effect my keyboard media buttons, only the programmable ones on my headset)

I had a similar issue that drove me nuts for the longest time. It's annoying since now I have to toggle the extension on or off depending if I want to listen to Spotify or Soundcloud via the web browser.
CBA to dig anywhere, have peoples' perceptions of 8-bit guy changed post-AI vid?
I feel like it's less perception and more his content itself it's been in decline since the UMPC review, did he run out of cool keyboards or something
So I'm no networking pro & for some reason when my roommate's laptop hops on our shitty WLAN my streaming music/video goes to shit, but my roommate's crap is fine
Is your connection also wireless? More clients on the same SSID can cause slowdowns in general. It's why having multiple bands is nice to separate things. I usually put Internet of Shit stuff on 2.4 and computers on 5.
Can I just say how much I hate my Atheros ar956x network adapter? If you're gonna get a 1080 at least get the base model Ryzen 7.

Hacked anime into Geforce Experience Here are the preselected avatars they let you use [t]https://tenryuu.blob.core.windows.net/astrid/17-05-04_22-58-20.png[/t] These aren't hard coded, there's a web request of a js (json) file, containing urls and names, replaced it with my own locally. And thus, put on my internet fedora [t]https://tenryuu.blob.core.windows.net/astrid/17-05-04_22-58-13.png[/t] We were taught in university 'Never trust the client for data input', part of the webdesign, ensuring forms and data input were valid Today I validated my own data, and sent it off to the server, no questions asked
It'll also happen with any extension that captures key presses, regardless of type.
You mean any with the ability to capture keypresses? Why did it just start not functioning correctly recently?
