They're basically just minor upclocks of the last ones, from 2012... they're even still on 32nm.
It's the same die. It's just a 200Mhz clock boost. It's literally just to fulfil obligations of a new generation.
It's the same die. It's just a 200Mhz clock boost. It's literally just to fulfil obligations of a new generation.
It really is funny how little Intel cares about this. They didn't even bother releasing new product info guides, they just copy-pasted the last ones.

They don't care in the slightest, they're doing the minimum viable effort for it.
edit: better video for a 3d print project for one of my fiancees cosplays First impressions of the arduino are really good My phone mic, however, is awful, so you probably can't hear the passive buzzer too well, but it does a neat "charging" tone. Will play through Zero Mission again and analyze the sound of the gun there and try to recreate it

It initially just looks like it's turning on a laser diode.
So what is it actually doing? It initially just looks like it's turning on a laser diode.
The laser diode is on all the time, what it DOES (which doesn't show too well) is power up a blue LED inside of the barrel, cause it to slowly become brighter, and then when at 200/255 charge it'll start flickering in random strengths between 150 and 250, to make it seem kinda overloaded. (shows well around 0:19 in the video) On top of that, there's a passive buzzer that makes a charging sound, you can hear it when I move the phone close to the thing. Should try to use a better camera to record it in action when I've hid some of the cable stuff

Especially if your fiancee wants the sound to be audible for their cosplay.
Could anyone suggest a USB3 pcie card? Want to add USB3 to my server as it only has 2... USB2.0 on it. Was thinking this: https://smile.amazon.com/Mailiya-Expansion-Superspeed-Connector-Desktops/dp/B01LZWC7TL/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1494547546&sr=8-2&keywords=USB%2B3%2Bcard%2Bwindows%2Bserver&th=1 Has SATA power on it, internal USB3 header, and 5 ports. Also says it supports windows server.
I have one of the two port Marvell chipset ones. Best I can say is that they are supported under Windows XP :v:
And so Itanium will finally fall into the void.
my comp architecture prof really liked bringing up itanic whenever he talked about the itanium processors
I still think it was the fact itanium promised so much but to long (years) to actually deliver in full that it took down SGI. They had the upgrade path and even had proper emulation of their older RISC arch working so compatibility could be maintained during the transition but the CPU simply did not deliver to their competitive margins and as a result they were unable to switch away until they were far behind everyone else. Wingless will say otherwise, but meh.
So Windows 10 on the latest build has no idea how to use my GTX 950. It's tried twice to use whatever driver it has built in that's not the basic adapter and it's attempted to enable multi monitor twice. Only to fail both times and complain about it. Best of all the previous build didn't do this. Good one.
I had tons mult-monitor issues with the Radeon drivers, but they seem to be fixed once I used not 4 month old drivers. :v:

I'll probably get one simply to try to improve the quality of the sound though, right now it sounds like a cheap toy
Got my 9-cell aftermarket battery from Germany and a used 3G modem from Portugal on the same day. I love shipping inside the EU. The extra "structure" you get from the 9-cell is great, you know where the charge port is because the battery ends just before it. Gah, need to open my laptop two days in a row to install something...
I have Google Cardboard and it's kinda neat. Think I should grab a used S6 and Samsung Gear VR or is it worth it?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/62QxTaO.png[/t] Well done. Not that I'm complaining since I can actually read that.
Windows + language packs are always a bit fucky I fixed an issue of displaying Japanese Strings by removing the font files for it.... because computers
I have Google Cardboard and it's kinda neat. Think I should grab a used S6 and Samsung Gear VR or is it worth it?
Real VR is way better :v:
I know but it's also really expensive. I wasn't sure if the ~$240 would be worth it
Google Cardboard is a cool intro to VR but it is definitely not worth more than like $35
When the new battery is just fine 👌
Opinions on 15.6" vs 17.3" at 1080p? Most likely Windows so no display scaling.
Opinions on 15.6" vs 17.3" at 1080p? Most likely Windows so no display scaling.
Eh, they both work. Going from 17.3" to 15.6" threw me off at first but it was still good to use and it felt like there was the same amount of real estate.

Good one.
It honestly feels like Microsoft actively tries to make upgrading to Windows 10 as unattractive as possible, just so they can have a smug look on their face when you're forced to for hardware reasons [editline]12th May 2017[/editline] Like there's a committee somewhere in Redmond going "Ok people, what are we breaking this week? Are we resetting any settings to their defaults?" [editline]12th May 2017[/editline] Is it too much to ask that I don't wake up every morning worrying if Windows is going to be in the same state it was the night before??
Is it too much to ask that I don't wake up every morning worrying if Windows is going to be in the same state it was the night before??
You could still easily use Windows 7 or 8.1.
So today I learned some memelord from /g/ actually joined Terry as a TempleOS co-developer. He's even indulging him on the whole God thing. http://www.templeos.org/Wb/Home/Web/ALM/ALM.html This is kind of adorable.

Microsoft seems to be running Windows 10 like it's the dev build of a browser Adding and removing features on a whim, breaking things because they can't do proper extensive testing
