That link is broken, you need to add a ) at the end
I'm impatient and can't be assed waiting for the preorders to be in stock. http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/1GB-XFX-HD-5850-Black-PCI-E-20(x16)-4500MHz-GDDR5-GPU-765MHz-1440-Cores-DP-2x-DL-DVI-I-HDMI y/n
Inc delivery it's £265 from Scan. There are much cheaper alternatives: http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/Powercolor+ATI+Radeon+HD+5850+OC+%22CODMW2+Edition%22+1024MB+GDDR5+PCI-Express+Graphics+Card+?productId=40057&source=googleps http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product.aspx?code=GC-XR585H1
Get 6 GT 220s :smug: Or get a 5870, your choice.
FYI, NCIX doesn't ship to UK, and 220 GT doesn't support SLI. I know you're not being serious [editline]12:22AM[/editline] And get a GTX 470
I'm finding it hard to justify getting sli/crossfire instead of a single better card, mainly because if i do that i'm totally screwing the opportunity of getting another 5870 in the future, iffy crossfire/sli compatibility etc
Some sli/crossfire cards perform better than the more expensive card than. If you are talking about anytime past the immediate future, there will be more viable options then. It is true that some games scale better with sli or crossfire, but most new games support it well. Any older games that do not support crossfire or sli can be easily maxed out on one of the cards.

Powercolor is reliable and well known [editline]11:36PM[/editline] Powercolor is reliable and well known. Generic, well that name speaks for it's self
"Generic" and "Powercolor" aren't exactly reliable brand names, would probably die a day out of warranty.
Generic is a cumulative name given by some retailers for OEM brands that sometimes do not sell retail, such as inno3d, point of view, or sparkle. Powercolor is as reliable as any other brand. Regardless, all cards will perform the same.
Yeh, but people get cards like HIS and XFX because of warranty or a better cooler. Though it really doesnt matter, i myself have had an INNO3d card and it was fine.
